Even when people aren't lying they are hilariously bad, way worse than anybody would think. Studies have been conducted that constantly and objectively show how bad people are at remembering things that just happened. If you ever witness a crime you need to find a piece of paper and immediately write down everything you know because what you remember immediately after won't be the same as an hour later or a month later.
