While he may connect with the GOP elite and the delegates at the convention; his attitude is irreconcilable to the middle and lower income GOP base. He and Ryan both come off as politicians who will do/say anything to keep their jobs and their connections.

I wonder if he and Ann were wearing their magic underwear tonight? Probably not as I'm sure they felt they were among friends. Back out on the campaign trail it'll be donned as usual; can't take too many chances when you're pressing the flesh.

That I do not doubt. I was just not shocked to see one of the more partisan members of the forum complaining about a man he would not have voted for if he had the speaking ability of Reagan.

Again, the facts don't jive with the reality.
One person who no doubt loved the speech however... Donald Trump.
And shocking to me, the speech sounded like it was written by Sheldon Adelson.
THAT I am totally dumbfounded about.

I thought it was the right thing to do, though he did lie about his reason for doing it and then lied to Congress when he said it did not involve any military hostitilites (so it did not fall under the War Powers Act).

Bush is not a good excuse to use to say Obama's bombing should not ever be discussed.

Besides, we will see if Romney bombs after he becomes President in a few months. I doubt he will bomb in Syria, since the Russians have a base there. Personally, I would want him to bomb in Somalia to kill off the pirate threat there.

Might have had higher numbers if he was in his late forties or early fifties but he still wouldn't have won. The GOP wasn't built in a day. Far too many old white people clinging to those neoconservative values.
