Need some help with a problem I am having. Here is the scenario...
Replaced board, CPU and memory in my old workstation that was an X2-3800+ with 2x 1GB G.Skill PC3200 2-3-3-5.
Took the G.Skill PC3200 and installed into my server to bump up to 4GB.
Server:
I upgraded to latest BIOS, install the additional G.Skill memory and now the RAM is only running at 133mhz (DDR266).
Downgraded to older BIOS, same problem.
Upgraded to latest BIOS, manually set ram timings to slower of the 2 memory brands (3-4-4-8), same problem.
No way to "SET" the memory speed, only option is to set the Limit.
No option to set memory voltage in BIOS.
Emailed tech support and they stated that the different timings of the two brands was causing the problem and that I should purchase 4 sticks of their recommended memory.
Any ideas???
