Wouldn't it just be total destiny to have a tiebreaker game in Philly and Rollins who did the whole "we are the team to beat" stuff early this year wins it in the bottom of the 9th?? Can't you just see it?? <sigh>

nope can't see it because i can't see us even being tied with the phillies at the end.

The team looks dead anyways. Their heads are down, Reyes and a few others have a stunned and confused look in the dugout, they have a defeatist attitude during post games interviews and the crowd is about as silent as ever. Its like a funeral there.

What a putrid start by Oliver Perez. Just awful. That start is why he will never be an ace even though he has ace stuff. One big thing an ace has besides great stuff is mental strength. Ollie is not strong in the head. Phils lead by 3 so they continue to rock'n roll.

well padres are losing...so we would still only be 1 out of the wild card also if this keeps up!

ya i know, but there is still the mathematic possibility of the mets making the playoffs.

but yes, practically speaking one would not bank on the mets making the playoffs this season.

i read an interesting take on it in a different forum, maybe Reyes is learning too much from henderson, because he is starting to act like him, missing plays, not thinking about the situation and just getting by on pure talent
