A truly pathetic job by the crapola Mets getting swept by the garbage Padres who may have the worst lineup I've seen this season from any team. Not much to say about this overrated team at this point. The Phillies are already making their move to run away with the division while the mediocre, overrated and overpaid bums from Flushing do their usual crap. Inexcusable.
$137,793,376 payroll LOL

Peavy and Young are on the DL, so how did you guys lose against a team that has no hitting and no pitching?

I couldn't agree more, although I'm a little biased (Phils fan). For the $, the Mets AND the Yanks are ridiculously lame.Originally posted by: raystorm

Despite Wagners blown save & Beltrans game-winning blast in the bottom of the 13th inning, the real story tonight was Mike Pelfry's fantastic 8 and 1/3 innings of shutout baseball ... he was really great & although its a shame he didn't get the win is becoming a very solid starter.
Nice to have somthing truely positive to say about the Mets for a change.

Pelfrey was great, but it was only 8 innings. He was pulled after allowing the leadoff single to Drew.

Its bad comedy at this point. In comes the Rangers and watch Josh Hamilton hit 3 homers each game.

And I'm going tomorrow & Sat night ... oh well at least the Sat tix were free!
Its just more of the same with this team ... all last night proved is even the Mets can't lose every game.

You go to alot of games, you have seaon tickets? If you are ever in need of unloading any, shoot me a PM. I am a Yankee fan and live in NJ just across the GWB, but wanted to catch at least 1 if not a few games at Shea before they tear it down.

Because they are the Mets. They are the symbol of inconsistency and are overrated as hell. I can only imagine how it would have been if Peavy and Young were pitching..LOL.. no runs probably. I like Adrian Gonzalez and Scott Hairston..want Delgado and Castillo for them??

That is NEVER going to happen. Bobby V is a GOD in Japan. He would be nuts to leave that life of total paradise there for the mess that is the Mets.
Willie should have been fired after the collapse and Omar deserves a ton of heat as well. Sure there is no Alou (big surprise) in the lineup and I'm worried about Church and his post concussion syndrome (career threatening in all honesty). Castillo and Delgado are two black holes in the lineup, Castro was benched last night for oversleeping, Schneider can't hit, Beltran and Wright are both too streaky..etc. The Mets don't have anyone ready from the minors as all the best prospects of which there are very few are not even close to being major league ready.
The Diamondbacks have crashed down to earth big time and are struggling like crazy. I guess now that they are at Shea tomorrow night they'll go on a winning streak.

Actually I get most of my tickets from Stubhub and several friends who have season tickets they don't use all the time who give them to me ... I used to buy season tickets but I spend about the same this way & end up with much better seats for most games.
I may have some extra seats for one of the Seattle games in late June but I'll have to let you know somtime next week.
