Went to the game today and I left during the 8th. Glad I didn't stay cause I would have hated to leave in the 14th. When I went to the game last week it ended in the 12th. These long games gotta stop, but I'm glad the Mets won.

I was also there along with my 10 y/o daughter ... we had great fieldbox seats 5 rows behind the visitors dugout & we stayed for every gut-wrenching pitch.

It was the 3rd longest Mets game I've been to & included a rare "14th inning stretch" complete with t-shirt launch in which my daughter caught one from Mr Met & then got a "high-five" from him too.

We had a great time, but after dodging wicked construction-traffic in Queens & the Bronx we only got home about 1/2 hour ago (!!!) so its a good thing shes on vacation from school this week ... hopefully the Washington sweep will help us carry some momentum into the weeked seris in Philly.

Lets go Mets!

Mets with a nice win in Philly and Santana was just filthy. Willie gambled by letting him pitch the 8th against the lower part of the Philly order and it failed when he gave up 2 hits and then that fool Heilman threw his usual spicy meatball to Dobbs. Aaron has been flat out AWFUL so far this season. That dude needs to get his head out of his ass and shape up or else a certain Mr. Dirty will be the one to get the 8th inning call.

Wright is just red hot and the offense did a nice job today considering Hamels was pitching. A scary moment with Reyes hitting Utley's knee on a head first slide but he turned out fine. I'm sure they'll do tests on him just to be sure. The classless fans there cheered when Reyes went down and booed when he got up and stayed in the game. I'm sure most fans there aren't like that but the fans that did that are pure garbage. (So are the Mets fans who booed Santana at Shea and cheered when Milledge was plunked to be fair)

Tomorrow will be a 4pm game on Fox (ugh). Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Perez vs Old Man Moyer will be the starters. Which Ollie will we see?? Who the hell knows with that dude.

Mets go for the sweep tonight against the Phillies with Mike Pelfrey taking on Adam Eaton. Its on ESPN so we'll have to deal with Joe Morgan's ramblings.

Go Big Pelf!

Thats from a t-shirt that some fan gave Pelfrey during spring training and some of the Mets asked the fan for more shirts to support him.

As for the game...

Mets had plenty of opportunities to win that game but they couldn't get that big hit in the 9th and Castillol couldn't do the one thing he seems to do well (bunt). I want Willie to put Church back to the second spot and Castillawl back to 8th. Mets win 4 out of 6 from the Phils so far this season but there are plenty of games left between them. Next series I think is in July.

On to Chicago for a two game series and tonight its John Maine vs Carlos Zambrano. Who the hell scheduled a two game series at Wrigley? Only two?? Not a good job by the schedulers.

Carlos Delgado can go rot. He is useless at the plate and can't field for shit. He is so finished. The Mets should take a cue from the Blue Jays who told Frank Thomas to take a hike. Release Delgado!

Holy hell do the mets look like shit against the Cubs. Cubs are a very good team for sure and I really like Fukudome and Marmol in particular but the Mets just looked awful and there are many questions that must be answered regarding the team as the season continues.

Hahahaha!!!

I was at the ballgame, didn't get a good look at what exactly happened when the Cubs pitcher Ted Lilly got an infield single until I'm watching the rebroadcast on tv here. Delgado can't even make it over to first base to catch a throw! How worthless is that? He forced the pitcher to cover first on a routine ground ball! Turned into a 2-run blunder.

The Cubs got rid of their dead-weight temporarily when Soriano went on the D.L., perhaps the same "unfortunate" incident can happen to Delgado?

I had enough of Heilman and his fat meatballs. He's been beyond awful so far this season. Don't get me started on Carlos Delgado. That piece of crap is finished. RELEASE HIM!

Whats really annoying is when the Mets are out of it they start to play ultra lazy baseball and that gets on my nerves so much. I'm sure we'll get the usual canned post game crap from Willie but he really should put his foot down on this guys. Also it sure would be nice if Oliver Perez would finish the 6th inning rather than imploding. He is so frustrating to watch.

Mets vs Braves. Same ol' bullshit. Mets got a whopping TWO hits tonight. Delgado wasn't in the lineup and his sub today (Marlon Anderson) was like a breath of fresh air defensively..lol. Delgado did make a pinch hit appearance in the 9th, promptly struck out then was booed big time. Ruben Gotay got a nice ovation when he pinched hit and he let out a nice smile. It'll be Hudson and Smoltz next..LOL This could be one ugly weekend. This team looks DEAD.

Mets salvage the final game against the Dodgers with a 12 - 1 win. Mets hit plenty with runners in scoring position but what I think is most important is that John Maine was dominant and pitched into the 9th inning which of course helps the pen big time. With a day off tomorrow the pen should be very well rested for the series against the Reds.

Mets making some moves today after yesterdays hideous loss to the Nationals.

Mets designate Nelson Figueroa and Jorge Sosa for assignment. Unless they accept the assignments they are good as gone. Mets place Angel Pagan on the 15 day DL (shoulder).

In return they call up Claudio Vargas to start tomorrow (and take over for Figueroa) and Fernando Tatis to fill up the bench spot while Pagan is gone. They also activate Matt Wise from the DL.

Tell me about it ... I was at the game & he deserved every boo the Shea crowd sent his way.

Even more upsetting to me however is the decision-making of Willie tonight ... going to Heilman in the fist place was just dumb when Joe Smith was warmed up & ready in the pen too, but then LEAVING him in after the score was 3-1 to give up a couple more & put the game out of reach?

All I can say is wtf ... I'm actually very close to believing this team can't win with him as manager.

After yesterday's ultra pathetic loss to the Nats Billy Wagner went nuts on the media and called out his teammates most notably the Carlos' for not sticking around for reporters. He let out plenty of f bombs too and I don't blame him.

This team is playing lazy, gutless baseball and it looks like Willie Randolph has now lost his team. There also seems to be some division in the clubhouse which was alluded to last season by LoDuca.

You have Reyes playing with his head up his ass, Delgado running home after the game, no hustling play by Castillo and Wright yesterday, Heilman has no confidence, the team can't buy a clutch hit and Willie is a dope. Omar Minaya is as much to blame for the team's issues as well.

Apparently the mostly underwhelming Johan Santana avoids the english media (according to ESPN and WFAN) and tonight its time he shows mets fans why he is getting the big bucks by pitching an 8 inning, high K, ace-like performance.

This team is truly testing my patience.

Nice win today & it looks like the bats may be coming to life finally!

Unfortunately momentum in baseball only goes as far as your next starting pitcher & it seems Ollie is going tomorrow night at Yankee stadium ... figures because I'll be there & I was really looking forward to Maine vs Wong.

Hopefully the good Oliver Perez will make an appearence.
