AL Winners: Yankees, Clevland, Oakland (I'd actually bet on LAA but I'm a huge A's fan)
AL WildCard: WhiteSox (sorry RedSox fans)

NL Winners: St.Louis, Atlanta (philly won't have enough to push them), Giants
NL WildCard: Houston

AL Winner: Clevland (hot at the right time)
NL Winner: St.Loius

Series Winner: St.Loius (they are just too good)

I hate you

This explains why they got swept by the Sox last year? Awesome regular season team, I expcet another playoff faceplant from the Cards.

Braves beat the Indians in the most politically incorrect world series in history.

If I was a betting man, I'd go with that...except I'd insert Yankees instead of RedSox..and I'd take the Yankees to beat the White Sox, then lose to the Indians. Take it to the bank!

Local school just dropped the name "Indians" and has currently renamed all of their teams to... nothing! They dropped it so quickly they never even had a backup team name, so sad

Yankees/Red Sox. Two teams headed in opposite directions. The Yankees are playing their best baseball of the year right now while the Sox are not looking too good right now.

You better hope the Yankees are not playing their best baseball right now. They have barely squeezed out a bunch of recent games by a single run.

They got swept last year because the pitchers ran out of gas. Carpenter, the ace of the staff was injured, Matt Morris pitched injured, Suppan did not pitch like he did in the regular season. I'm very optimistic about the playoffs, especially with the Cardinals still winning games with the bench players playing most of the game.

this is some serious wishful thinking with both the giants and A's winning their divisions, the giants are like 5 games back and the A's are 2 1/2, though im with you on the A's being able to pull it out.

The middle relief has been a problem all year long, but I'd still take the Yankee bullpen over the Sox pen right now. 4 in a row and 10 of 11 is playing good baseball however you want to cut it.

Did you watch the series? Gosh, the Cardinals could not TOUCH Boston pitching with all their big thumpers. Rolen looked like he was in little league, even Pujols looked bad most of the time. They didn't lose because of their pitching, they lost because they couldn't hit. And their pitchers had never faced a lineup like Boston's the entire year, so it may not have been because they were tired.

Yes I did watch it, but what saves you when you are in an offensive slump, pitching. I guarantee you if Carpenter had been healthy last post season, it would have been a different result.

Everyone is going to bring up the Card's flop last season, but they didn't face adversity basically the entire year, they were relatively healthy and won as a result. This year, they have won DESPITE significant losses of major players for long periods (Rolen, Molina, Sanders, Walker, Edmonds), which indicated they are, overall, a more balanced team. That balance will bring them the WS.

This year is going to be like '89 for Larussa. Got beat embarrisingly the year before(like in '88 when he lost to the dodgers) but now will go in and dominate the world series.
