IF they can get 2 more scoreless from Hendricks they'd be in great shape. But I wouldn't keep him in with a no out, 2 base situation.

I don't like that Maddon was already warming up Lester, well, Lester only. I'd like to see Lackey and Lester up at the same time, because you can't put Lester in the game with runners on. maybe a legit middle reliever to take care of a mess, then Lester to open the next inning, or just toss Lackey in to a rough situation.

The Smokies is the farm league for the Cubs, I think they have 14 players on their roster from the Smokies. Been to several games this year and last because a really good buddy works for them. I'm kinda indifferent, but barely rather have the cubs win. He on the other hand is going crazy, gets a pretty good bonus if they win too. Some sort of contract clause something or other.

Plus I love PTI watched for over a decade. And poor Wilbon is dying for it.

For a team frozen in the moment early in the series, the Cubs sure have been beating the hail out of the ball these past couple games! Pitchers have settled in as well...some amazing baseball against an outstanding opponent.

I think the Cubs have more of a national following, perhaps in part due to their games being broadcast on WGN (which was available all over the place) way back in the day. That's why I became a (casual) Cubs fan, despite growing up 800 miles away. We also had no other close baseball team where I lived, so why not?

I thought Saints fans in New Orleans were zealous, but holy crap. Your odds of getting shot walking down the street go up from like 70% to 90% just by putting on a Cubs jersey.
