ethier for nl. and it pains me to say that being a padres fan.

for the al, liriano was a top contender in my eyes before the injury. now i believe its either going to be verlander or papelbon.

His stats doesn't show it but Russ Martin has been MVP for the Dodgers all season long.
Unlike every other every day players, Martin has been injured free.
Also, catcher is a very very hard position to play especially for a rookie.
Although all the other rookies have better numbers, Either and Martin are contributing for a pennant race team

All Either has going for him is the batting average.
Well, you can say he has fewer at bats but then again, thats the main problem.
Had he been playing since the beginning of the year, and producing these numbers, it would be a no brainer.

Believe me, I'm a big Dodgers fan and I love to see another Dodger win it but others are having better numbers.

I'd put:
1) Ryan Zimmerman
2) Josh Johnson
3) Either and Uggla

What about Markakis? He's hitting .312 with 14 HRs, 55 RBIs, .372 OBP, .488 slugging, and .845 OPS. He's also only made 2 errors all year for a fielding percentage of .994.

Ryan Zimmerman in the NL, followed closely by Johnson on the Marlins. - He's already the best fielding 3b in the game.

Fransisco Liriano in the AL - Markakis didn't do anything this season until August, Papelbon second.

yep, verlander and ramirez (hanley) took it. i think its deserving. i said ethier earlier but looking at ramirez's numbers i agree with the voters picks. now bring on the nl cy young! carp, webb, or surprise!... hoffman?!?! and the mlb can save its breath and might as well announce johan as the al winner and spare us waiting until thursday for it to be official.

I don't ever remember a season with so many great rookie players. Seems like every team has a couple.
