My RttS guy is starting to hit. After dropping down to just above the Mendoza line, I went on a tear, smashing my goals, and got promoted to AAA. I also just got traded from the Atlanta Braves system to the Chicago White Sox system.

What position is your player?

He's 5'8", 156lbs, switch-hitting 2nd baseman, focused on speed, contact hitting, and glove at creation. And I've brought his power from each side of the plate from up from 7 to 30, resulting in his first home run last night. He's a lead-off hitter that's currently only batting about .250; I'm still not sure how he was promoted from AA to AAA, but I'll take it.

My player's career took a serious hit thanks to the decisions of management. I finished the AAA season hitting about .333 or better and was invited to spring training. The barely let me play, so I simmed the spring and just played the training sessions.

After spring, I was kept on the MLB roster as a bench player. Through mid-August, I got a total of 35 at bats before they finally sent me back down to AAA. During those months where I didn't get to play, I couldn't earn any training points and couldn't train anything, so every attribute category decreased by at least 2 points!

I get sent back to AAA, and my hitting is non-existent, so they send me back to AA! Ridiculous! If they had just let me start the season in AAA, I would have been fine and getting better, now I'm stuck in AA having to rebuild attributes to a point I already had them.

I've been playing a bit of RTTS on my Vita during rides to work. I'm mainly just experimenting with it before restarting it full-scale on the PS3 this weekend. I can't hit worth a shit. I'm having the same problem as somebody else mentioned above, I can make contact with the ball but no matter where I hit it, it's always hit right at someone for an easy out. I think through a couple of weeks, I'm batting in the vicinity of .070.

I've only managed 2 total hits. I've been on-base a third time due to a throw error and actually scored that time due to a couple of good hits by other players then a sac fly.

It's a fun mode but I need to figure out this hitting thing.

Hey, but since you went to the majors, your salary was much higher. Screw getting to play if you are making more coin. Remember, this is a simulator so be happy with the salary

I actually started a RttS player and with the adjusted sliders, I'm bating .350, 2 HR and 12 RBIs through the first month. For some reason, hitting is much easier in that mode than with my team. Probably because the pitchers in the minors are a bunch of bluffers.

They did it to me again the next season! After spring training, I was kept on the MLB bench to toil away, begging for some ABs. Finally, I was sent back to AAA before July, but my speed rating dropped by 2 points and my durability dropped by 8 points! I just ignored the goals and used what little training points I earned to keep up attributes I cared about.

Now, back in AAA, I'm tearing the cover off the ball. I've got 2 HRs in a little over a week and am batting .364. I didn't want to go to bed last night because I'm afraid I won't get my eye back from last night.

What position are you guys playing with your RttS? My test run on the Vita is using SS, but I think when I start over, I'm moving over to second base.

I'm at 2B. In previous versions, I've played SS and OF. My first RttS player in MLB 12 was at 3B, but I wanted to make a scrawny speedster at 2B, so I started over.

My copy finally came in yesterday. I played an exhibition game and a HR derby.

How is the Diamond Dynasty Mode?

Its a lot of fun. There are plenty of game modes that will keep you playing the game for awhile.

Finally set up my RttS last night. The gameplay seems alot more polished than it did in the 08 version.

Yeah, RttS has advanced a ton from 2008. The one thing that hasn't progressed is the MLB record books; you are still limited to very few records, both from a pitcher or hitter's standpoint, and you won't even get recognized for hitting .400 in a season (true up through MLB 2011, not sure about this year), for example. And no challenging Cal Ripken's streak again this year.

The training day exercises have been fleshed out compared to 08 and 09, but they can get frustrating.

I did read what you said. Basically this is a role playing game where you roll dice and hope for the best. I need to put in many hours of time scouting every player and dedicate my life to understanding each little nuance of my team and the opponents just to play on easiest settings. That is not what I call fun, that's what I call a job.

You're what I call a whiny bitch who needs to stick to playing Mario or Pokemon games.

I'm sure it does, but does the PS3 version of this game have an online pass code that you will need to enter to use any of the online stuff?
