I still need to work on my batting skills. I'm a much better pitcher than before though.
If anyone wants to play me on ps4 add me on psn its in my sig. I need to play Keith talent and cmdredd still
There's still times where the pitches go all over the place I hung one real bad today and gave up a home run earlier
Since timing doesn't work online and this is mostly all I play. I need to get more familiar with Zone hitting or get an opinion if I'm doing this right. In zone hitting, the way I understand it you push the button and move the left analog stick at the same time for the direction you want the ball to go, is this right? Also lets say you have the Pci indicator on and you know the ball will be high but in the strike zone, are you supposed to use the left analog stick and move your pci indicator up to that area??? or does this not matter?
On a side note, I played the batting practice with decent results ,i.e gold.

In Zone it's pretty simple to do but hard to master.
Your PCI is where you can contact the ball. Anywhere in there and you can hit it. You also have to time your swing with the button. What you do is move the PCI to where you think the ball will be and press swing. You don't have to do both at the same time, if you were getting a couple pitches up and in and you think they are going to go low and away you can hang the PCI around the low outside of the zone and wait on the pitch.
In short if the PCI isn't in that area and the ball goes there you most likely miss. You influence a grounder or pop up based on where you contact the ball. The Lower portion of the PCI will hit the top of the ball driving it down, and if the ball hits the top of the PCI you will pop it up. Your timing on your swing will determine the direction of the ball after initial contact. You pull the ball by swinging a little early and you go the other way with it to opposite field by swinging a little late.
Thanks for clearing this up. I had been leaving the Pci indicator in the middle the whole time, never moving it. I originally thought anything inside the oval was the hotspot and you only needed to time that. So I always waited for one to land there...My mistake was I still thought you could hit stuff out out of the oval but it just wouldn't mak good contact. Perhaps this explains why my batting was so bad. I'll find out after work.
Edit: The more I think about it I've been moving my left analog stick all over the place trying to get a directional hit. So long story short, there is no telling where my pci indicator is/was when I tried to make contact with the ball. Since the left analog stick is what moves the pci indicator, right?
Yea that's what I thought. You move it where you think the ball will go. I guess do some practice sessions before going online. What sucks is sometimes there is lag when you are about to swing online and that can also mess you up.
I tried using zone and tried aiming where the ball would go and struck out a lot. It's like I want to focus on the ball but as soon as I go to aim the pci too late I strike out.
Tried to play bman tonite but my game crashed.
You have to place the PCI and sit on that spot. Do not try to chase the ball with it. Most hitters pick a spot and wait for their pitch, they Dont chase too many balls that crowd them in or run toward the outside depending on where they are more confident. This is where the hot zones come into play. Look at where the batter is hot and try to wait as much as you can for a pitch in that general area.
My first baseman got called up to AAA yesterday. Noticeably more difficult than AA. Still doing fine, but my stats are down significantly so far, which makes sense. Not even sure exactly why it's harder, but it just feels more difficult. Good stuff though.

I'm in the AAA as well and have been there for a while. My stats have also gone down. I only have 4 home runs compared to 12 in the last season.
