Yeah I know the feeling... only a little while ago couldn't stand it.. but now... nothing beats a cold beer a hot summer day.

Cheers!

It certainly is an acquired taste. I'm on my 4th Guinness Extra Stout.

I would suggest Bass. Good brew which is kind of neutral in flavor. Not as strong as many beers which are definately acquired tastes

a coup[le of buddies just left:

we tasted the following:

Theakston
and about 5 different homebrews; 2 IPAs, a barley wine, a begium style golden ale, and something else.

Looking at "coup[le" I wonder how much tasting went on

I used to drink hard liquor like a mofo so I would switch off on occasions with beer and vice versa.
Right now I drank a hot ass bud light 24 ouncer and a cold tecate.

Beer does wonders at time.

I am obviously not feeling anything, which sucks indeed.

Hefe-Weizen... Oh dear god is it tasty.

That's what I've been drinking lately. Definitely the best stuff around.

Especially the kinds that come straight from Germany. Schneider Weisse is a good one that's fairly available here in the states but it doesn't compare to some of the local flavorings in German towns. A brewery called Pfungstäder makes one that is absolutely insane. The yeasty and cloudy look can't be beat, either. I love that stuff.

I like Weissens. They're wheat beers, and go well with a little slice of lemon.

When I was visitting my grandparents last year, my grandfather took me to a microbrewery for lunch. IIRC, they made their own weissen. It was pretty good. Definitely going to have to make another beer run to Germany one of these days...

I have some Paulaner Hefe-Weizen and some Frankenheim Alt in my fridge. I am originally from Germany and really miss good beer. Pretty much all of the German import beers here are exactly the beers I would never buy in Germany.
