That was just the first one I did this way. I will probably add more pepperoni on the next one.

Homemade pizza with fresh homemade dough is awesome. Since I started making it 3 years ago I have NEVER ordered pizza from anywhere or bought frozen pizza.

In the trend that's developed here:

Looks good but....

....you didn't make me any, and I'm both hungry and lazy.

Looks ok.

Definitely needs less tomato sauce, more cheese, and more toppings.

The mere idea of sauce squeezing out of the sides as I take a bite makes me want to vomit.

Digiorno's for $5 at Walmart not done more than 22 mins is money. And it's the supreme version with basically everything on it.

When I used to work at Papa John's, right before they lowered the quality of the sauce, dough, and ingredients, I used to take home an uncooked pizza with everything I wanted on it. Then I'd cook it in the oven and eat it with my roommates while playing poker or watching the game. Those were probably the best "homemade" pizzas I've had.

For the dough it's just a simple flat bread recipe.

2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup luke warm water with 1 tps sugar
1/2 cup luke warm water with 1 tps salt
1 packet of yeast

::Edit: You can season it some with oregano, basil, thyme, garlic, or whatever you want. I forgot to do it this time. You will want to probably add it in with the water or after the first introduction of the flour.::

Pour the sugar water into a bowl and slowly add the yeast to prevent it from clumping. Let it sit for a few minutes (original recipe says 10 min, but not really needed).
Add the salt water to the bowl
Add 1 cup of flour and start to mix it (stand mixer or by hand, up to you)
Continue to slowly add the flour until it is all mixed in thoroughly
Divide the dough into 6 portions and roll it out to about the size of a small plate

Now you can either fry it in a heavy skillet (cast iron is best) with some oil (I like peanut oil due to neutral flavor and high smoke point)
or you can bake them for about 6-8 minutes (I think, only baked them once - I like frying them)

If you want to use them for the pizza, I would suggest cutting the cooking time on these, since you will be continuing to cook them when you throw them in the oven to melt and brown the cheese a bit.

Then just top it however you want and bake them in the oven at about 450° until the cheese is melted and golden brown.

And to Eli, sauce is the essence of pizza, you can never have enough sauce. And I need to find a better sauce for next time. This stuff was ok, but no great.

To Iron Wood, I could have done it that way, but I was playing around and experimenting a bit. Sometimes a single personal pizza is the way to go. And take off the onions (I think I see some on there), mushrooms and green peppers and then it would be better .

I'm really picky about my sauce. To the point where, if it is unknown, I would rather order the pizza with no sauce than have it be ruined.

I usually order light sauce regardless.

It's the dough, definitely not the sauce. Alton Brown agrees with me so I am right

That's probably the only thing I disagree with AB on. Sauce will make or break a pizza for me. Dough, not so much. The sauce has to have the right balance of sweetness and acidity. Too much one way or the other can ruin the sauce.
