Finally decided to get an artillery. Picked up a Hummel. Haven't played one since beta, so it is kinda funny - they seem super over powered now. My win rate is ~72% on it with almost 40 games.

Haven't played arty since hummel in beta and the m37. Hated both, couldn't hit the side of a barn and earned only 300~ exp per game even with premium. Most of my kills were counter-battery fire before they removed the tracers, the gameplay bored me to tears. Fire, move, wait for reload. repeat until the t-54 moves in to kill you.

Without tracers now you never have to move. You just sit there and rain shells on poor tanks.

It is really stupid, but funny.

Got the VK3601 this morning. 1 step away from the Tiger. IS is coming around now. Put the tracks on it, engine next. Then the 2nd 122 gun.

I've barely played WoT at all in the last week... Still only 50k into the 190k for the T30. Got to get to work if I'm going to get it unlocked before Skyrim comes out.

Finally got my King Tiger fully upgraded with the long 10.5 as well. Time to grind a silly amount of exp for my E-75.

Fully upgraded my T25 AT and grinding towards the 70k for the T28.

Fully upgraded my KV-1S, about half way towards my KV-13.

Fully upgraded my KV-3 and just about to pick up the 100mm D10T then push towards the IS.

I'm thinking about picking up some gold, I'm just not sure how much I want to grab. I'm not going to make gold buying a regular thing, and will probably just do it this once, so I'm really looking at garage slots and possibly premium tanks.

$15 for 3000 gold is a nice and cheap option. Probably would end up buying 10 garage slots, as I needed them. There aren't really any premium tanks at this level I'd really consider, as I can probably make as much or more money with some good tier 5 and 6 tanks.

$50 for 12000 gold is the more expensive option. I'd probably buy a Type 59 or KV-5, and have enough left over for 15 garage slots. I'd lean towards the Type 59, but I'm really not that familiar with the medium style of play so I am a little wary of spending a bit more than $30 on it.

The obvious solution is to hold off on buying any gold for now, grind up a medium line that plays similarly to the Type 59, and make my decision then. However, I'd really like some garage slots now, and spending $15 now and $30 later for 9500 total gold is really quite a waste. I suppose I could spend the $50 now, and just hold off on buying a premium tank... but that also seems somewhat wasteful to just leave ~$50 worth of gold sitting idle.

Plus there is the whole aspect of paying $50 for a free-to-play game, $30 of it for a virtual tank with the sole purpose of grinding money.

i did that by buying a low amount, i should have bought the 100 dollar gold to begin with.
it helps when you're tired of grinding and want to use the free xp to max out, or get to the tier 10 tank, i probably wouldn't waste gold on a tank you won't keep tho.

premium is well worth the $, i am still considering a type 59 at this point also

Unless you're desperate I would try to wait. They usually have half priced slots at least every month or two.

Good to know. I can probably hold off for awhile, with the possible exception of if somehow I miraculously open up the T30 before the patch hits. And in that case I'd be paying full price for a tank that would give me a slot, so essentially half off anyway.

It was going to be Q1 2012, but it got pushed up to sometime in November or December, probably the later.

I'm pushing down both the Russian and American heavy lines. I'm about 10k from the IS and M6, but I suspect I won't make it to the IS-4 or T30 in time. At least I already have the KV and KV-3.

Seems kinda pointless to spend gold to get to a tank in order to get a free garage slot. That, and I barely have any exp to covert anyways.

I really should be pushing the American line harder, as there is a potential for two garage slots and a free premium tank as opposed to just one garage slot, but somehow when it comes down to playing either the KV-3 or the T1 Heavy... KV-3 seems to win out. Wonder why.

Didn't Overlord post something new fairly recently changing the date? Not that that means a whole lot, but still. Unless they decided on a date, pushed it up, and then pushed it back?

Of course, the longer the better as far as I'm concerned.

Ha, good to know. Thanks. Might actually have a shot of getting the Russian and American heavy grinds done in time.

I rarely see T25's snuck up on for the side-blocking death syndrome, but I've killed a few T28's and T95's because their easy turtles to 'flip on their backs'.

I really hope that the T34 update comes soon and separate from the T30. I decided over the weekend that I'm not going to worry about grinding it anymore, I'll just do the daily doubles and leave it at that. Grinding I was just killing my enjoyment of the game. Mainly working on the Tiger now.

I really think even as premium the T34 will be a terrible tank. I doubt it will get the 120mm, and without it, it's a horrible tank.

Joined a clan on Friday. Completely changed my play and I am feeling rejuvenated with the game. It is nice always having some platoon mates to cover ya no matter the hour of play.

It's pretty sweet though I'm rueing my accuracy with it so far.

I haven't seen many T28's and generally they've been pretty noob or poorly placed so hopefully I'll buck that trend. If it sucks... well it's only credits tbh.

I have enough money and already have the experience for the T28, but I just can't seem to want to play that big slow moving turtle. While they are scary, they aren't the scariest tier 8 TD, i think that is the Ferdinand. So now I'm working up the German TD line and doing that. And with the split on the german tree coming I'll keep the JgPanther and can go down both lines when they split the Ferdi off it.

I'm still having fun with my Type 59, Panther II and IS. And of course always toss in a little Chaffee in the mix when I get tired of arty and want to make some of them rage quit.
