my mens don't exist unless they're taking 105mm shells in the face. I have no idea what's driving, aiming and loading the open-top artillery pieces as the cannon seems to move according to some divine will.

I tried playing artillery, it's too hard to get into the game playing a ghost ship with an invisible crew.

Completely possible. With the kind of mouthbreathers that I seem to get on my team as of late, it's only a matter of time before 13 of them (plus one afker) get on your team where you're the top tank.

had a game in my Lowe yesterday where I had to pretty much single handedly kill 2 Tiger IIs at 80% health. If the 2nd tiger II wasn't an idiot and tried to face hug me when I was at 150 hp (heyo, strongest part of the lowe is the frontal part of the turret...) we would've lost hands down.

I think both of my Panther II 9 kill games were during a loss. I don't know how the rest of the team can suck that bad, but it happens all the time. Tons of windowlickers play.

The teams are 15 players, so 14 kills would mean you killed all but one enemy (one killed by teammate?), or one enemy lived. Either way, for your entire (14 person) team to get zero to one kill is damn near impossible.

I have had the game crash on me multiple times, but it has always let me back in right away. Did you change/try any mods or change settings (as in screwed up your own game)?

I played at like 12am and everything was working fine. Then worked for 8 hours, and wanted to play a few rounds before going to sleep at 8:30am. But at 8:30, nothing worked.

Forums indicate ppl have a somewhat similar problem (stuck on map loading screen but they can see all the players & eventually the minimap shows up, they can hear game sounds, etc) had success with uninstalling/reinstalling the game. So I'll try that.

edit: I reinstalled and then realized what the problem must have been: I was VPN'd at time! DOH I'm dumb But I have this nice shiny T-127 (with a free slot!) in a nice shiny garage to make me feel better

edit2: MM for type59 is ridiculous! Just had a match where the opposing team had as many type 59s as our team had tier 8 AND 7 COMBINED. And they had 1 other tier 8 tank to boot. Guess who won

Haha, awesome. Have you tried it yet? This tank is ridiculous! 40mm of frontal sloped armor means you're almost invincible in same-tier battles. I just took on 3 (dumb) tier 2s simultaneously. Just sat there and let their autocannons bounce off of me while I ate each one alive XD

Def gonna have to slap on some equipment, get 75% crew and rock out w/this sucker.

Edit: Gonna query y'all for my next german tank. Right now, I have the vk3601 and with the short 88, it's been awesome. I like it even more than the pz iv. I have like 32k xp on it so I can research a tier 7 pretty soon (and like 20k free xp so i can shortcut any super awful module grinds). So should I...
1) Get vk3002: seems to have less armor than the 3601, but it's sloped so maybe that balances out. Kind of disappointing to have the best gun still be the short 88 though. And I've heard the panther line is pretty meh? But it adds a lot of agility & speed which will be fun
2) Get Tiger: I've heard so many ppl gripe about this tank; makes me apprehensive. At the same time, the long 88 seems amazing. I could play it like a slower pz iv which in theory sounds fun? And it leads to KT, E-75, E-100, all of which are supposed to be pretty good.
3) Get the 3001(p): I've heard this is by far the worst of the 3001h/3001p/3601p set. Less armor/hp than the 3601, more speed but no more agility. Since I already have 3601, I have a lot of modules but it's still like 15k xp to get tracks+turret to mount short 88. On the plus side, it leads to the TigerP which looks great. But I hear... bad things about the vk4502 A/B. Although I could get TigerP so that the module grind in Tiger is easier.

What did y'all choose/what do you suggest?

Even more importantly (to some people), it sells for 170k credits and you get a free 150g/300g garage slot too.

Get the 3002, because you can research the tiger from it for only 27k, and the panther.

Got my Pershing fully upgraded now. Crew back to 100%. Pulled the crew from T-20 so started them at 90%. 174k to research Patton and elite the Pershing. It doesn't make huge sums of money. Its a slow earner basically due to tier. Not that I need worry about creds with a Lowe and T-59 in my garage. I'm liking the tank so far. Stock form it sucks like all stock tanks. Tomorrow I'm gonna play the Pershing and T-59 a lot and get a good comparison feel between the two. Still need to buy T-50-2, Slugger, Tiger P, and I'm closing in on getting the T-43 researched. I might push hard on the T34/85 this weekend and get it done with. Bought two more tank slots bringing the total from this current sale to six slots bought.

Edit: Went ahead and pushed on the T34/85. Got the T-43 researched. Not sure when i'll buy it. Enough play for one day.

Largely depends if you want the Panther line or not.

Some might say then 'just enjoy your 3601' based on what you said.

The DB is a fine brawler, its a different style from what you're used to on the non-sloped tanks but it IS fun to drive. However, it still uses the short88.

The more elongated the targeting circle, the crappier your angle of shot. For downward slope shots, I aim either at the highest point on the tank (turret) or exactly beyond the turret in case they disappear. Regardless, expect the shots to go long or short.

[edit] scratch aiming on the turret, aim beyond the turret.

When the enemy gets close to you and you fire basically as a TD, the circle is also very elongated, this is one of the only times I aim low/in front of the tank as the miss short is still very close to them vs the miss long is dreadfully far.

There are some very bad T-127 drivers out there right now.

I just got out of a match with 7 or 8 T-127s in the game. At one point it was me in my T-127 against two T-127s. I killed them both with 70-80% left. I was aiming at the lower glacis plate. Every shot penned. They were aiming elsewhere, and not much went through.

With premium, I made just under 20k profit. Not a bad earner for such a low tier tank. Pretty fun too, at least when it isn't too far down the list.

Yeah, I just really wish the T-127 stood up better against higher tier tanks. The armor isn't enough against most tier 4 tanks, and the gun lacks just enough punch that it really needs to hit the sides/rear of tier 4 tanks, but it is kind of a pig.

Should get better as my crew skills up (started off with 50&#37, and if I decide to keep it for a good while I'll buy some equipment for it. I may hold off until the next sale though, just to make sure I really want to keep it.

On an unrelated note, I'm getting close to opening up the IS-3. Sort of. I find myself really enjoying the IS, and I hear the IS-3 is pretty similar in terms of play. Is that true? And if so, does it do better than the IS, or due to matchmaking, fare worse?

Trying to decide if I want to keep the IS, or sell it when I make the move to the IS-3.
