Anybody else griding thru the American Heavy line to get T34 Premium and T30 TD when the next patch comes?

Started last week with a stock M6 and now 100k XP left in the T32 to get T34

With the top gun the 12t is not bad. It's a flanking tank though, and i use it as a semi scout-support platform. The penetration isn't great though, which sucks because you're constantly fighting against big tanks. It has trouble penetrating KVs from the front as well.

Ya, I did... got the t34 a month ago, now have turret/tracks/gun... 225k to t30.

i free xp'd so it's maxed out , grinding the amx 75 now.

Use it as a support sniper/assassin. I wouldn't say I'm very good with the 13-75 but I can see if I can post up a video of a game to give you a sense of the playstyle. Elcs has a bunch of amx13-90 videos up too.

Just FYI, even with the max gun you probably shouldn't try to hit any tanks in the front. I think it bounces off VK-series reliably, and the reticule aims slow so you will ding a lot of shots on heavier tanks like KV and M6.

Speaking of the m6.... even with the 90mm it kinda sucks. I'm getting a lot of weird misses with the gun, sometimes its super accurate sometimes it dings/misses everything. Even considering the fickle BL-10, I'd say it's one of the more inconsistent guns.

I LOVE my tiger P. When you are top tank or near the top, take the front of the assault and no one can stop you. Steel Wall medals come flying at you. Angle it correctly and tier 9 guns can bounce. Next to my E8, that thing is the most fun to play.

Played in my Tiger P tonight. Haven't really played it in a while. Good times. Too many crits though. Get tired of hearing, 'Critical Hit!' and no points removed from enemy nor even slowed down. 25k away from next heavy in the tree. Like, FH said. Get in top spot or second spot and you are the god tank with 200mm frontal armor.

This game can be incredibly fun but also incredibly frustrating. Like for instance last night how a KV-5 was penetrating me like a hot knife through butter at about 300 meters in my KT regardless of how I angled the damn armor. Of course he placed himself well and shielded his R2D2 from me. So shots to his broadside with the long 105 simply bounced or hit for zero damage. I had to let an IS4 face hug him to kill him. I think in general the german tanks and angling can lead to frustrating results vs the soviet line. My GFs son plays his IS3 or IS4 and just sits there making sure the nose is always pointed at the shooter and mindlessly kills. I have to angle the damn thing and pray the computer decides it is right for a bounce or get worked over.

My win rate in the Tiger II is getting much better and I am about 15K from the E-75. And the KT has the second best kill ratio of all my tanks behind the marder II. Think I have about 225 kills in 187 games played. With a win % right around 46-47%.

it seems when i'm in my maus everyone and their mom's E100 can pen me everywhere, no matter the angle, yet when i'm trying to hit a maus with my E100 in the same spots i get penned in, it bounces, so frustrating >_<

thank god i can just roll with the is-7 the match after and bounce everything lol

trust me, it's much more frustrating when you have a gun that shoots 2-3 rounds a minute like the BL-10. At least the long 88 has a fast rate of fire... I've lost count of the number of times my BL 10 impaled another tank only to do 0 damage. Or ding off a tier 6. Or completely miss (heavens know why).

But I never have a problem fighting the tiger P. Shoot the turret, not the 200mm frontal hull armor!

Yes that is my best in a KV-5, my platoon mate that game (Darth) got a 141k game in his 59. *That* was a glorious battle. He was reduced to ramming an IS3 at the end of the match.

haha i've run out of ammo twice in the type59 so far
hell i ran out of ammo in my E100 last night, but ended up earning 66k in credits and 2800xp (not double)

I've had a few 130k+ games in my lowe, but I think it's easier to get that because the gun is awesome for its tier. Still have a lot of random misses though.

I think this is indicitive of the german tanks. They may have a smaller targetting reticule (on most guns), but I think the chance of not shooting on center is higher than the russian tanks. I miss alot more fully aimed shot on my KT and E-75 than I ever do on my IS and IS-3.

that's what i've noticed as well. My IS-4 is accurate as hell even from 500 M+, hitting shots where my E-75 would completely miss with the 12.8. I've actually sniped many a jagdtiger/TDs to death from 500m.... hitting bottom frontal glacis and occasionally bouncing off the top.

Never been able to do that on the E-75 or even the tiger II. I don't even bother shooting stuff that's over 500m away. Only "sniper" gun I've been able to use effectively are the 75L100 and 88L71. E-50's gun is pretty good so far but don't have enough games to really tell the big difference.

It's just the Russian bias. I actually can hit from far with the Russian tanks better than the German ones. And German guns have too many ghost rounds and other wacky shit going on.

Now, I just got me an M4 Sherman for shits and giggles and am running around derping people. Holy cow this tank is hilariously fun. Just got a 5 kill 1,700 xp (not double) game.
