ouch. i've gone from cold start to in battle in 60 seconds once, with an i5 and single ssd.
If I crash when loading up the match, even with an SSD and i5-based system it will take me more than 2 minutes to get back into World of Tanks (especially with my RAID array too) so I'd not be a fan of that. 5 minutes would be more appropriate.
I have, however, seen a match that was won by a Type 59 who was afk for about 11-12 minutes and turned the tide of the fight at the end at something like 11-11.

I prefer they implement something to allow a dead player to hop in one of these afk tanksI did finally get my Tiger P elite tonight. Other than that my luck was all bad. Every battle I was in one of the top 3 tanks sat afk at base. I wish they would make it so if your tank does not move from the original spawn spot after say, two minutes, that it explodes and you get fined like, say 100,000 creds, or something like that. That would teach the idiots. Or just let the team mates kill it without penalty for their own pleasure. I like that idea too.

I knew I was fucking my team, I had to test a new hotkey for my TeamSpeak in arty and make sure it did not screw something up during clan wars, so I had to load up my GW tiger, test the button pushes while in overhead and TD mode. After that I had to immediately go into a clan war battle in my 261, so I locked my gw tiger in double R and exited the battle. I dunno if your tank comes to a halt on exit, but I figure I could at least scout with the thing.
On a different note, I got my IS7 and what a sweet tank. I ground out the credits and kept my IS4, but moved the crew and modules over to the 7. When I get the credits, I will re-purchase 75% crew and modules.
Anyone have the 4502 P Ausf A? I have it researched but not bought it yet. Trying to decide if I want to use my existing Tiger P crew or start with a whole new crew. I like my Tiger P. I'm thinking of keeping it. Anyhow curious how well people here like it. I hear its pretty good once fully upgraded. If I grind another 2500-3000 free xp before buying I can get it and upgrade the tracks at the same time. Thinking of doing that. Save on some grinding headaches maybe.
I just got it. With the Tiger P fully upgraded you have a newer gun, engine and radio on the Ausf A, so the grind isn't that bad. Even the top gun of the A has the same pen as the one on the tiger P, just more damage. Don't expect to take on other heavies headon...its not built for that. Hunt mediums down though. They have a tough time getting through your armor.
I'm seeing more and more of this lately for some reason.
Is WoT as good as they say? I'm getting bored of games that I'm playing and want something to play until DIII comes out. I'm a big fan of good strategy and apparently it does a pretty good job of combining strategy with balance of different tanks.
I had *no* time. They wanted a whisper list set up for arty coordination, so I had to pick a hotkey that was near wasd that wouldn't screw with anything. The last time I played with hotkeys was my mic button and it was set to caps lock. That was a bad choice as sometimes my finger would miss hit and I would suddenly change views. So my mic button became the scroll push on my mouse. Since I needed another button push I decided with ALT, but had to make sure that had no adverse effects. Yes if I had 5 minutes I could have joined a training room, but this was decided with 2 minutes before battle. So... random battle, push ALT a few times while in TD and overhead, lock the tank in forward and hope for the best.You couldn't do it in a training room or help in the battle?
On a side note, is there anywhere I can shoot an IS7 in the front to reliably pen with the E75/IS4 guns?
I have 25k of 191k to research the T30. Need to decide if I want to spend a lot of free exp probably for 7.2.
if you want the t30 that bad, i dont' know how much it's going to get nerfed. but getting it now regardless is going to be easier than going down the american TD line after the patch
the panther 1 s awful, but it's nothing compared to the panther 2. truly dreadful! this game has a lot of "black holes" in the trees, something that kept me from getting an is3 or better. this is a t8 tank that, when fully upgraded, would be pretty lousy at t7. how bad will it get when i run out of premium time? i certainly can't justify paying another penny for gimp-mobiles and bum teams.
