From what I've heard, that trick no longer works; i.e., you aren't allowed to repeatedly buy tanks or something like that. But they won't take your money for nothing so it's worth a try still.

So I finally got the panther fully upgraded. It's still underwhelming. It's not even close to the worst tanks I've played fully upgraded, but it really is not a fun tank to play. I think I liked my T20 a little more, but not a lot more.

I wasn't impressed by *any* of the tier7 mediums. But omfg T-43 is by far the worst, yuck. They don't really bring anything interesting to the table. On the other hand, tier6 has a lot of fun mediums... and so does tier8.

yep t43 was horrible, t44 i had pre buff, and that was just as bad. outgunned badly.
i am so glad i was able to do the su152 and isu152 grind before the HE nerf as i kept the stock gun all the way thru until the BL-10

I felt he T20 was a way better tank. Easier to manuever, better gun, and better turret traverse. The panther is really pathetic imo. The sniper gun is a pea shooter. The short 88 doesnt have enough pen for its tier. They get it right in the Panther II with the long 88. So there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I tried it this morning... it seems to have sort of a cooldown timer on repeated purchases. After purchase #6 it said card declined, but went through when I waited a few minutes. After purchase #8 though, it's still saying card declined even after waiting 5 minutes and trying a totally different credit card.

Anybody else having issues with the game tonight? We had a game where half the players couldnt see their own team. Then people were warping to our base. In himmelsdorf two IS7s show up in our base within 1 min of the start. We were all dispersing and all of a sudden two of them capping. I had another game in my KV where a T-50-2 that I was looking at not 20 seconds in front of me was behind me killing our arty. He is fast but not so fast he can traverse the entire map in 20 seconds without anybody seeing him. Then in the same game an M6 magically shows up behind me as well.

If I were to buy a tank, that would be the only one to get. I got a free T34 but I don't think it's a good buy, or any other premium heavy for that matter. Having the T34 as a credit maker took away credit worries but for me, none of the in game items are worth what they charge for them.

I was told type 59 creeps up to closer to tier 9 with any of the gold ammo/gas/crew rations than any other tier 8 tank.

I loved the panther, it actually has a higher win ratio than my Panther 2. The sniper gun is a bit weak for its tier, but it has a high rof and the penetration value is incredible. It can hit a pin from 400m away and any weak spots you so desire. You can reliably hit hulled down T-29/34 hatches from 200-300m away! And if you miss, your reload is just seconds away.

The cannon firing actually has rather low profile as well. It doesn't give away your position as much as some of the larger calibers. Usually I can take 3-4 shots before getting noticed. The tank needs to be played as a sniper tank, and if tanks are advancing on you, you need to be backing away to avoid brawling. You can track anything easily even while moving, so use that to your advantage. If you are top tier the panther is a killer, nothing lower tier can stand its gun.

Can't wait for the special, will be a good opportunity to push pass some of the tanks I've been dilly-dallying on. Also might finally be the time I buy a S-51... No reason not to if it's on sale.

Type 59s are like tier 8.5s. The sloped armor is ridiculous and nothing short of a good tier 8 gun can pen it. Even with the Lowe I don't try to shoot the Type head on if I can help it, there's a good chance it'll hit some strange angle and bounce off.

goddamnit $35 after I already dropped $20. This game sure knows how to suck your money like no F2P I've ever played before.
