Just did a little test:

Something is very off...if I game 10 LOLtractors games per day..and 1 game every time I played 1 game with another tank...my efficiency rating will skyrocket.

And it's not like tier 1 isn't funny...less "desktop-generals" in those battles...like I said...that rating can be "manipulated" to easy..

Ferd is different from the JP because its bigger, slower, more visible, and much more ponderous. The gun it has is terrific, and going forward you won't be seeing an improvement in camo either. It has great firing rate for the damage it does, and you should treat it as a fortress. Find some place to cover your lower glacis and try not to get flanked. With the 800hp engine your traverse is acceptable (better than the russian versions at least) and its still slow, but fast enough to relocate slightly. Give up getting to forward positions though, you are too slow for that... look for new ones near the back and rely on others to spot for you.

I know....but that is my problem.
The StugIII og the JagdPanther are TD's you can play offensive in.
Ferdi is not...and I am not a good camper :'(

I'm at work and your pictures are blocked, so I can't see how ridiculous your efficiency is. Although if you want to have hundreds to thousands of games in a LOLtractor just to keep a high efficiency, then good for you. Your average xp is probably going to suffer though playing a tier 1 all the time.

If you do care alot about your efficiency though, you should never play arty. No spots and rare cap/defense points really hurts.

You could always go back and get the jp2 instead of grinding the ferdi. Less armor, same fire power, and much more manueverable. Plus it shares the engines of the other lines, so unlike the ferdis you dont need to research them if you went up one of the other german lines.

Don't need to doo that, played 7 matches in LOLtractor, the doubles in my normal tanks, some VK2801 games and a few Maus gamed (ended up doing 1260 eff. on last game)...and myglobal rating raised 15,3 points...with ~7000 games under the belt...my faith in that metric is gone...

Crap stat, almost all of the stats that WoT uses is based on games played. A monkey can get to the top of most of those charts.

High efficiency with low avg damage done really shows you like the lower tiers. It is hard to keep both those high when you still play the low tiers (which is why my average damage is still bad, I love the mid/low tiers).

yeah global rating means shit. I mean, for crying out loud one of them is # of battles participated.

and if you care enough to pad your efficiency rating, you are probably an above average player anyway.

World of wartanks handled a skirmish issue badly IMO.

Only two of any tank is allowed in the skirmish. When the score was 2-1 in our favor, first three wins, someone on our team made a swap in the team three seconds before the match started and put a third of the same type of tank in. The match started and we realized it, and decided to give the other team a win so we'd get no benefit - disqualification seemed excessive but we should lose the round.

So we let the other team destroy our tanks and win the round. We then went on to win the next round removing the third tank.

But today, Wargaming disqualified the team and let the other team continue.

I sent them a note that this was excessive and offered a replay showing the chat where we forfeited the match so there was no harm to the other team - didn't matter.

Update: Wargaming replied that they can't tell who won what rounds - but clearly they didn't demand any evidence we had an illegal tank in a round we won before disqualifying.

Sorry to hear this. They screwed me out like 6k gold on the first scavenger hunt. I sent in my first submission thinking I was done for the weekend, but then ended up playing more Sunday night. Got in a kickass game, and then resubmitted clearly asking them to ignore my first submission. Well apparently (not stated in the rules anywhere), you can't submit more than once, so they didn't even look at my submission. I would have placed 2nd, really pissed me off.

I've only ever really tried for that first scavenger hunt that I got screwed in. The rewards were good, but the challenge was pretty hard in that you had to kill one of every type of tank (light, med, hvy, arty, td) in at least one game to qualify, and then submit 2 other games with your best xp. You also got bonus points if in your other games you also killed 1 of every tank type.

The other events like MVP aren't really worth it, as the rewards aren't that great, and you would have to play that one tank exclusively for that 2-3 day period to even have a chance of getting that spectacular game that would get you placed. Just go look at the past winners and thier scores to see what you are up against.

Premium ran out on Weds. Going back to old school since I cant make any money in the higher tiers. Got a 3601H. Forgot what a fun tank this thing is and with the new match maker really excels. Working on getting enough funds together to bring the derp KV back from the dead as well

Also, the M18 is a really really fun tank.

I went back and started grinding the russian TD line. My win rate and efficiency so far on the SU-85 and SU-100 is very surprising. The play style is quite different from what I'm used to playing in my heavies/mediums. Mostly sniping from a distance, and every once in awhile up in your face action.

The penetration on the best gun for the SU-100 is only 175, which is lacking when placed in tier 8 battles, but is enough for anything under that. That and a 10.4 second reload for 390 average damage from a tier 6 is really nice. Now if only these tanks had actual armor and some more hp.

I dont really look forward to the SU-152 though, since it doesn't get a gun with better penetration, and 175 pen wont cut it against tier 8/9s. I'm afraid I"ll have to run with the 152 derp most of the time. What I really can't wait for is the ISU-152 with the bl-10.

KV derp is so much fun!
Even with the first level derp on my KV1-S it makes little tanks melt.

Also take into account that people are trying to get the triples on tanks they may rarely play (and subsequently are not fully upgraded). Nothing helps you lose faster than a team full of stock tanks.

The stock tanks I don't mind, there's generally an equal amount of them on each team. However, seeing a team full of reds makes me facepalm.

I What I really can't wait for is the ISU-152 with the bl-10.

For good reason.

I'm still pretty frustrated on occassion when the bl-10 does no damage to the side of a tier 5 for a couple shots while I get damaged, but generally it's a great tank.

There's little as much fun in WoT as hitting a tier 10 for several hundred.
