It's not an exploit to use the terrain the flank the enemy or use it for defensive movment...it's called "tactical maneuvering".
I really, really, really dislike the crappy current ingame physics....since I play the VK2801 a lot...this is a GOOD patch...very NEEDED.
Most of the maps that we play on were never designed with physics in mind. Now with physics you get arty on mountain tops, or other odd terrain features, which were never intended to be used.
With 7.5 and prior, sure you could rarely get permanently stuck, or hit an "impassable" terrain area and come to a jolting halt. Now with 8.0, I can flat out kill myself with terrain. Not to mention getting permanently stuck now is more common.
I can already see tanks driving off cliffs, or down ravines just to keep people from getting the kills/credits/xp. If you survive the fall, its not like anyone is going to risk driving down after you. Now most games are going to have to be won via capping, since its likely you'll always have that one idiot that fell down a hole.
Along with physics in 8.0, the revamping of the tank tree layouts is just flat out horrible. The person who's idea it was to "redesign" a perfectly good working layout needs to be fired. The current layouts are compact and easy to follow WITHOUT SCROLLING. Now I have to scroll to follow the tech trees, and the connecting lines are everywhere with no real rhyme or reason.
I do like the new after battle in game stats. I do wish it told you which modules you damaged and/or destroyed on the enemy tanks, but I can do without that.
I do wish they would add an ingame damage counter for each player. That way you can see who's really carrying your team, other than that person who's been getting that last shot in.
