- arty will get a rate of fire nerf of roughly 15-40 percent: GW Panther will (with its top gun) fire once per 31 seconds
HUGE nerf. Sort of, makes each shot count that much more, and it is much harder to keep a tank pinned somewhere.
- accuracy and aiming time will be nerfed: Some examples - russian B-4 cannon had 8 sec aiming time and 0.8 accuracy as of the supertest. GW Panther had 0.7 accuracy
Doesn't matter. Aim time on the larger guns was already complete poo. Accuracy is all relative anyway. Good enough is fine. Not worried.
- Aim dispersion on the move and while moving the gun increased by 100%
Meh, not an issue. Increasing reload time means I have more time to aim in my next shot.
- SU-26 loses it's 122mm cannon and gets a new 76mm one.
Massive nerf, much needed. They also need to just start the German bison at tier 4 if they are going to keep the 150mm on it. No tier 2-3 for the Germans.
- Most of them get their visibility range and speed nerfed slightly.
Meh, who cares.
- S-51 gun horizontal traverse nerfed from 6 degrees to each side to 4 degrees to each side
Probably kills the S-51. It already had poo of a traverse arc, if you have to pivot and rebloom every few seconds it is basically done.
People don't WANT to be 1-shotted. High-alpha and low ROF is BAD. From what I hear warthunder's arty will be a big AOE effect instead of a one shot sniper rifle wonder. That is what many people want. Lots of little damage instead of one big railgun bullet. For one, it adds to immersion. Explosions all around! omg! Secondly, it increases hit rate and makes the arty feel less frustrated. Third: It's not fucking bullshit. If I want to get 1 shotted it would be from a dive bomber, not a fucking artillery piece designed to target infantry.
Nobody bitches about the T82's 105, the M2 MT's 75, the BL10, the KV-2 152, the 183, etc.
It is not a matter of high alpha low ROF guns. People know they screwed up when they get one shotted by these monsters. They don't fault the player, they KNOW it was their own fault. Somehow people want to blame something else when they die because they were exposed, drove in a straight line, were predictable, etc.
If you rock your tank every once in a while, after waiting 30+ seconds to fire and the target moves, you will NOT waste another shot on that target. If they do continue to shoot at the rocking target, better for the enemy team. I *love* it when arty tries to shoot my E100. I laugh when yet another near miss tracks me for a couple of seconds and takes off inconsequential hit points. The enemy could have shot easier things, but go ahead keep picking on me. I know how to be a bitch to hit.
