Triede 2 games yesterday on 8.10.
Enabled all settings to max...except motion blur...game runs better than expected.

So I started looking into what it takes to get the free IS-6, general consensus free the first couple threads I read in the great google search seems to basically come down to "lulz".

To be honest I think it would just be easier to buy the IS6 out right than the requirements to get the free IS6. But then maybe they want it too troublesome so you will buy it instead. I bought my IS6 when it came out. I'm not ashamed of it. Its a great tank, great money maker, great crew trainer, and just damn fun to play. All that to me is worth the price. Plus I support the game by doing so. Although now I don't think they need as much money as they used to. I bought 25k gold today. My pot got down to 3k so I felt the need to fill it up again. God Help Me!

batting an awesome 1/14 so far today.
my teams never go to the flag in encounter mode... they seem to like fighting in the valleys/hills... lol
need to just plow thru this shit....

The combined arms is what's really going to shake things up for me. I'm hoping this competition pushes WOT to fix a lot of those lingering issues we've noted.

I have 3 brothers that also play WoT.
We are so locking forward to the combined arms part ^^

And just the fact that you spot with you EYES...make me smile as a old IRL scout for a tank company ^^

Just tried the new version, and the lowest fps was around ~40 otherwise it hovers around 50, same as the previous. I've disabled motion blur, because why would you want it to blur while moving?

Yup...moton blur makes no sense in that game.
I fear WoT might be overtaken by WT..as the focus in 2014 for WoT...is graphics....

You sure about that? I thought they did in one of the more recent patches? Maybe I'm wrong.

Nope doesn't support SLI/CF. I got the same on my GTX 670.

people always forget what a shitty engine WOT is running on. It's not unusual to have 40 fps on a baller machine. It's like counterstrike back in the day: throw a smoke grenade, lag out people with bad computers. In this case, good computers as well.

The sniper scope uses a FLASH FILE OVERLAY (who the fuck thought that was a good idea?). I think it still does. Swapping this overlay out usually increases the FPS by 20-30 in sniper mode, along with swapping out smoke, exhaust and fire textures.

Roll a dice...might be just as usefull.
There is no "easy win line"...it all depends on your playstyle.

I play all types of tanks, from tier 1 to tier 10, from lights to Arty....to avoid the trap of locking myself to one type of tank...an to get an idea of what to do and not to do when facing other tanks.

my team always loses...
3 kills, 3k+ dmg in my tier 8's, still lose 15-5 or worse...

I don't get all the tomatoes...why play a game you really suck at?
I mean...dying horribad in every battle cannot be fun?
Losing way more than you win cannot be fun?
Hding in a corner like a pussy cannot be fun?

After WoT got TV-adds...a true horde of useless players have come online.
And that meakes me look at War Thunder - land battles with interest.
I think think "tomatoes" will truely be useless in that game.
No red dot to spot...be a clueless tard..and you will die horibad...clueless and no threat to anyone.

One can hope all the tomatoes will stay in WoT and better players go to WT...I know I am kinda hoping that.

Early tips are to try a few of each tank type to see your favorite type, and then to base which line on the tier 10 you want later to grind for.

There are a few more favorite tanks, but I'm not sure it's that important to try to get those before trying different types. But a couple: USSR T-34, US T18

try everything. Most of the lower tier tanks are all very similar though, they're light pew-pew tanks that go 30-40 kph very easily. I'd personally suggest the soviet line as the tanks feel very distinct. The heavies drive like heavies and mediums drive like mediums. Soviet tanks though in general are very brawler-centric with big guns that aren't very accurate.

Some other nations have weird tanks at low tiers like light tanks that drive like heavies or heavies that drive like lights.

I suggest you go thru a TD line. They are superior imho to everything in the current state of the game. Russian 268 line, French foch 155 line, german WTE100 line or British fv215

I'd be more impressed with it if the player in that replay wasn't such a jerk to his team.
