yea my wn8 goes up, but w/r goes down.

so far batting a stellar 1/12 this morning, doesnt matter if xvm has 60+% since my team will lemming 1 way and still all manage to die.

edit: 10/27 now, but at least the tanks im actually grinding are done with the 2x's

They've done a few historical battles before, during special events. I remember one was something like KTs against twice as many t34s and su100s. It seems like those will either be brilliant or terrible with not much in between, so I guess I'll have to check it out.

wow this entire weekend was pretty brutal, after saturday's pummeling, today i went 7/31.
and that was just to get the 2x on the 7 tanks i'm actually grinding right now lmao.
hopefully things go back to normal during the week

The t28 is like every other TD. Big slow and has a good gun, only functions well on certain maps that have funneled chokepoints. It's not the right playstyle for everyone.

Yeah, I know, it's just so slow. My only other turretless TD is the 122-44, and at least that one is quick and has decent camo. Almost to the T95, glutton for punishment here lol. I want the E3 while it's on sale though.

I hate slow tanks too. I feel like fast tanks have a vastly better ability to "swing" games in comparison to slow tanks, just because you can support a lot better.

Tanks like the T95/T28 can hold their own on one side but can't fall back to support the other side if nobody happens to come your way.

The 122-44 is not the best representation of turretless TDs. It's very atypical since it's fast and has good camo but packs a fairly shitty gun (for its tier).

yea that's why i'm not bothering with the on track, i hate slow tanks. i'd like an E3 but don't feel like going thru the punishment of the t28/t95 grind

Love the T95 and E3 though. I've played a ton of games on the T95 and have a decent win ratio with it (56%). It's a lot of fun, and frustrating, at the same time.

E3 is solid.

So just get past the T28 and the last two are great tanks.


Right now, I'm grinding up Russian Mediums. On the A-44 right now, which I actually am enjoying. Just have to decide whether to go for the OBJ 430, the OBJ 140, or the T-62A.

Yeah, that's what I heard. So I was almost thinking about the 430 first just to be contrary

Also, I hear that it matters most if you play CW, which I've never played. I just play pub matches, and rarely even platoon. And I like the idea of the super low profile/good armor of the 430.

they pretty much play the same, the extra armor is gonna mean nothing in game however. the reload on the 140/62a is why i recommend them - and they're slightly faster as well.

I ended up using free xp for the last 25K on the T28. It was just way too meh for me. I'm around 40K into the T95, so I probably won't make it in time to grab the E3 on sale. I like this tank though, and already had top gun unlocked through the T30. Of course everyone is slinging gold but it's been pretty bouncy, and I threw on the super heavy spall liner to try it out. I think this one is a keeper.

why not just ... jump into another tank after you die? I understand wanting to grind the tank but there's like 6 nations and 3-4 different tank lines in the major nations...

pretty close to the T69 now as well as the 113. i don't think i'm gonna get the 113 however as people said it's worse than the WZ111 1-4. i do have 70k free xp saved up so i might just free xp the last 59k from the WZ111 1-4 as it will then unlock the 122mm for the WZ-120 as well. (im going down both med and heavy chinese lines @ the same time).

That's because it also has a massive weakspot to the right (as you look at it) of the gun.

The Tortoise has great Rate of Fire, but deceptively poor armor if the enemy knows where to aim.

yea figured as much.... i can take down anything 1v1 except a waffle or foch155, but i'm useless after that, and my playstyle i can't stand hiding and sniping, i like to be in the action

all of the british tds have deceptively poor armor, it's annoying. They're long range support tanks only, if you get anywhere within 300m of them you'll get penned left and right in all the weakspots. The tumors on the brit tanks are HUGE in comparison to anything else in the game.

But if you get a tortoise on a hill with a good vantage point, god help you if you don't have an arty or a pack of mediums to help take it out.

Is it worth the grind to upgrade BC 155-55 to the 155-58? This is my first teir 9 and its a looooong way to the 58. I can free exp half of the 250K exp

The 183 has been stealth BUFFED. I am bouncing many more shells off my turret in the last patch. Does not matter the pen, the premium ammo, whatever, the front of the turret has been significantly buffed. It is not just mantlet shots either, things are bouncing off my cheeks that I did not expect. I love that this sucker has been getting better over time while other TD's are getting the shaft. I love this tank, and I understand it is RNG dependent but it is just plain fun.

I finally got my ace in the waffle last night. Serene Coast and my team did a stellar job of running to their deaths. End game consisted of me at low health against a mostly full patton, an half dead waffle, and a full 261. I finished off the waffle and the patton and capped out the enemy base after the 261 went hunting for me. I was solo pubbing and the enemy had a triple SIMP platoon: Both of their wafffles and the 261. I ended up with 6400 damage and invader. The poor 261 had 9600 damage (both of their waffles did less than 3k damage).

After that, my regular platoon buddy got a new toy... a GW Panther. Now it has been about a year since I played arty, and I sold them all a while ago. I ended up buying an M12 and tossing its old crew on (except loaders who moved on to high tier double loader tanks). So there I was playing arty and it was as if the nerf never happened. I was hitting things on the move, tucked in behind rocks, the works. The aim time DID get worse, but like I always did in arty before was I aimed while loading and by the time I was loaded I was ready to fire. Simple simple stuff. First game, tier 9, and I did ~2800 damage. Amazingly there is some knowledge that goes into playing arty, the art of prediction, of knowing just when an enemy would rock forward/backward, when you know he is aiming at something and thus going to sit still for 3 seconds, etc. I tried to express this to my platoonmate but he just didn't "see" it. I might actually have to make some videos showing this off but I don't know if I want to share enlightenment on ... arty.
