Just remember that patch 9.1 is the TD nerf patch. All TDs except for the premium TDs will have visibility changes applied. My translation theory is "Once you shoot your TD is lit up for everyone on the map to see you no matter how far or close you are". Expect all kinds of tanks immediately shooting you when that happens.

On another note I finally finished grinding the French AMX 50/100. I been grinding on this tank since it came out. Unfortunately they nerfed it before I could get to it and since then I would just play it whenever I got get a 2x battle. Mostly it collected dust in my garage. Not a fan of it obviously. This weekend however I pushed the last 30k xp on it. Now it will sit in my garage and collect more dust because I have no intentions of wasting time on buying the 50/120. The line sucks IMO with the long reload times. /rant off.

My TD (T18) has the best scope out of all my tanks so far.. (only on tier III). It's pretty accurate if you let it aim in properly and account for the fact this game does throw in gravity in the trajectory. Plus, I love the armor. Tiny little light tanks with their 20mm shells can't penetrate me.

FYI, as long as you're aiming at an enemy, the game will automatically adjust elevation for distance. If you're blind firing, and don't have an enemy in the reticle, you need to adjust manually.

This will actually only minimally affect me. Pretty much all the TD's I like to play either have no camo anyway (JP E100), or I play super aggressive and the enemy knows where I am anyway (T95 and E3).

Will mostly affect when I play my Jackson occasionally.

OK. this could be bad. Off in the distance I heard a low volume fire whistle. Sitting here at work, on a PC and thought to myself "Crap, someone is capping our base".

Yeah. That's not good.

That makes way too many TDs completely useless. The only reason they work are because they can shoot and not be seen. Otherwise they either:

A) do not have the alpha to be useful
B) do not have the armor to deflect return fire
C) do not have the speed to move behind cover
D) do not have a turret to fight around the cover they are now forced to be around

Well, people been bitching about the German waffle tanks and the American hellcats. It was bound to happen I guess. Btw, the American M3 90mm gun gets a nerf too so the Hellcat and Jackson will be getting double nerfed in patch 9.1. They are adding a extra .5 second to reload times. That personally doesnt bother me as much as the visibility changes. They also promised to look more at the Hellcat which makes me think they plan to do more bad things to it in the future.

I just got in a ridiculous match with my KV-220. It was a Tier V match, but only two Tier V's per side. The other side had a KV-1 with stock gun, and a T-34. So literally, the only thing that could really have a chance of damaging me was the T-34, and he ended up suiciding.

I did 2k damage. The next highest on my team was 400 I think . I only got 4 kills though as people kept kill stealing.

Just had a fun run with a VK 28.01. I was going for the artillery and managed to find one of the two and start attacking. It manages to hide with 92 hp left, as I find it and approach it shoots and misses me, and I kill it. 0.5 secs after I hear a tank dying somewhere behind me, and it turns out their 2nd artillery is now dead. So by trying to hit me, he misses and take out the other artillery on his team

People don't like dying to hidden shit, how hard is this to comprehend. I don't mind getting one shotted, I hate getting one shotted by hidden arty or hidden tanks that this game artificially does not draw.

The hellcat deserves every nerf it gets. The open top german td's deserve all sorts of nerfs. The roomba, even though I love it, is massively OP. There is no defending it. Nerf it to the freaking ground.

The whole vision mechanics of this game needs to be revamped to allow for less hiding and sniping and more movement/closing/action. Right now it is too static, and boring. People refuse to move for fear of 10+ TD/Arty obliterating them.

How is playing the most camoed and vision controlled tank "skill based". It is min maxing to the core. Find something to abuse in the game and go to town. Use the abusive tank until it is nerfed back to normalcy.

Not only just that. "Scouts" need to be properly defined and not just be tier 4+ light tanks. Just because it is a "light" tank does not make it a scout capable of playing against Tier 9 and Tier 10 tanks. The only low tier light scout that could work against tier 10 tanks was the T-50-2 that was removed...

And yes, I agree that buffing the medium and light tanks' view ranges/ratings would resolve many of the problems with the game. As well as nerfing the new german TD line's camo rating. There really isn't much wrong with the other TD's. Sure the hellcat might be a little overpowered, but it is just a moving gun, no armor at all...

definitely needs more high tier scouts.

Just skipped the AT15 and unlocked the Tortoise + top gun with free xp. Really want the top engine though, but I'll have to grind that

Anyway, 8 games in the thing, and it's not half bad. 4 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw, but I have yet to do less than 2k damage a game (that DPM!). The gun traverse is also quite nice, which allows you to half shoot around corners and keep your armor angled, which helps a lot, since it has a ton of weak spots.

The gun is awesome, and it has loads of hitpoints. Not the best thing ever, but I don't think I'll find the grind to the 183 too bad.

1) Never trust CR/D
2) Never trust a wardec
3) Never think gud fights actually happen. A shitload of posturing, some lands trade hands, 1 - 2 fights a night is all I ever see.

As a player who participated in the purple donut war EVERY night, I can tell you that it was incredibly boring, so much diplo for no reason (once a war has been declared, just fight it out damn it), and eventually the front limits the number of fights possible.

I hope there is actually a mass fight, I can't stand all the NAPs and alliances on the map.

so what i don't get is, thugz is going to be disbanded if otter wins? or all their subclans will be? i have friends in both otter and vilin, but i've always felt the thugz guys were kinda dicks in random pubs.

No, lol. Nothing is going to happen. Just like nothing happened after the many month long EG vs HAVOK war. OTTER and subclans will fight VILIN and subclans for a while until one of us gets bored.

ah , damn i've been hoping to take a break cuz i'm burnt out from the on track, and they pull the double xp for placing 10 or higher in a loss ugh
need to grind for the t57

Yeah the last couple of days I've only been playing 5-10 games a day. Got kind of burnt out as well.

Arty really started to get on my nerves also. The thing about arty is that it is supposed to stop camping, when in fact it does the exact opposite. It makes people hug buildings and rocks so that they can avoid artillery, or avoid being spotted for artillery. Every no arty game I've ever been in has been loads more fun, with a lot of aggressive pushes and flanking. High arty games tend to be camp fests.

unfortunately we have been asking for 3 years (yes 3!!!) to have a no arty option, alas, it fell into a deaf ear every time.

Maybe russian devs think it's cool to put ww2 era arty, with GPS, satellite view and shell that travels like baseball pop fly behind buildings into their game.
