Looks like it's only the Hellcat gun getting the nerf and not the Jackson's gun.

We have an update from our lovely developers about changes coming in 9.1! While this is already circulated on the RU and EU forums, we thought it was worth an official post here for those who haven't seen it yet.



Our development team has been thoroughly reviewing and analyzing the vehicle balancing changes we have planned for the next update. As a result of this review we have decided to cancel some of the vehicle balance adjustments that were planned for update 9.1 and to keep the following changes:



Increase the visibility of TDs when shooting.
Decrease the battle tiers for light tanks
Improving of vehicle characteristics of МТ-25 and VK2801.
Reloading speed decrease of 105мм Sherman M4 gun when using the 1st turret (bug fix for a bug inherited from the previous version)
Damage caused by UBR-354КА shell (AP shells used for some soviet 76mm guns) changed from 105 to 110 (damage caused by this type of AP ammo is currently by 5 points lower than damage caused by the respective premium shells).



Essentially it was decided that it would be bad idea to pull several levers at once and impose huge system corrections such as the increased visibility of tank destroyers while shooting, at the same time as things like balancing the matchmaking weight for certain vehicles



It doesn't mean that we aren't going to review the balance of the Hellcat and Tiger. Balance changes like that will be considered and implemented in the future as a part of complex tasks like the fixing of balance weighting issues faced by certain middle tier vehicles.



Also in the future we are going to change vehicle characteristics in a more consistent manner, which should make our changes more understandable. We are generally going to pay special attention to making our vehicle balancing process more transparent and with that in mind we plan to provide you with more details of our changes so you can understand the reasoning behind why we have decided to make certain vehicle characteristic changes.

- The visibility coefficient for shooting TD guns (except of Premium TD guns) has been brought into line with the visibility coefficient of the same guns mounted on tanks.

It might be a good sniper, but the the rest of your team needs to take all the heat.

It is not that bad. It's armor is not good, but the turret is very tough with good gun depression. Mobility is not bad. Because of its low alpha gun, it doesn't get as much attention in the battle, but due to the high pen, accuracy, and fast reload of its gun, it can do some serious damages if the enemies are not careful.

Just got the FV185b 183.....

That tank is so fun to play. The tortoise is a good tank, but this tank is pure evil. Just act as backup for a couple of medium tanks. "Oh, there's an enemy tank you can't get past... "BOOM"...there you go"

took a tier X heavy with 1798hp out in one shot.

All of these excuses mean NOTHING at sucking in a video game.

Guys is there any specific ways to play the Marder? I am strugglefesting with this TD hard, while I've already gotten half way to enough research to get a lvl 5 TD with the American line.

Also, any tips with the M3 stewart? I really really suck with light tanks, but especially that one. Actually on second thought, I do pretty well with the Russia lights...

For the Marder, are you sitting behind bushes and trying to pick people off, as your team spots them? Or are you trying for more front line style, sitting next to a heavy and duking it out?

Sorry for basic questions if you've been playing this for a lot or longer than me.

On a different, finally got my E-75 fully decked out. I'm doing much better with that guy than I was with my Tiger 2. Sidescrapping works so much better with E-75 for me than Tiger 2 did. I'll hold on to the Tiger 2, never know if they'll buff it or keep it the same.

The marder got a nerf a few patches ago. You *need* to play the whole open top line as snipers away from the front lines. This means that you will be doing damage but not able to exploit weaknesses and force the win. So anticipate a lower than normal win rate, but know that you will be top of the list many times in damage.

As far as lights, I am HORRIBLE with lights. I offer nothing other than find a bush, park your butt in it, and hope your team shoots the crap you spot.

I would generally sit back and just snipe. The thing was too slow to make it to the front lines.

But good news! I got enough points and I got the Hetzer now. Holy balls is this thing slowwwwwwww. Very accurate though, which is more than I can say for my T-26. Man does that tank annoy me. Great damage ... When it hits something.

Well luckily, I got the next tier up now, and I sold my Marder. I honestly liked the T82 much better. I have really only tried American and German TDs but I prefer the American ones. I really like the mobility aspect, even if damage is less. My Hetzer feels almost useless in some of the more city like maps, where being mobile has huge advantages.

It's a hull down tank. I've bounced tier 9 and tier 10 shells with the turret many times before. It reliably bounces tier 8 rounds and the mantlet is almost impenetrable by anything lower.

The gun is very accurate and it's good enough all around, its like a better 88/L71 but the shell speed is a bit slow for my taste. It's a pretty decent tank and you need to drive it like the american series.

Doesn't matter. World is not B/W. We have 3D color TV now.

What's needed is not youth, but
* good basic skills (driving, shooting, planning, observation, etc)
* tactical knowledge and ability to adapt it
* map and tank knowledge
* communication skills (TS, chat, other)
* team player

You know that you've helped your team when your first shot does a total damage of 2688 (FV185b 183 pen+fire) to a Maus and it's dead within the first minute of play.

then watch them flop anyways after you've dealt over 6k damage. After the battle ends you'll see 8 tanks on your team that have dealt 0 damage over the course of the fight.

Yeah I had a game were I dealt ~5.5K damage, and number two 1.1K and only three tanks dealt more than 1K on my team. Obviously we lost.

I've come to expect that, its kinda sad.

I had a game where me and my friend (E-75 and Lowe) were completely dominating one side. We had 2 other guys with us, and we destroyed about 8 tanks total, 3 of them tier 9 heavies and mediums. We lose the 2 guys with us (they were mediums) and we go on to kill their arty. I feel good about the game being sealed... only tier 8s and 7s left and no arty to worry about and the whole entire team was dealing with those guys. Then i look at the score board.

Our whole entire team flopped. Hard. 11 tanks vs 5 and they got completely wiped out. These are heavies, mediums, and an arty that wasn't even supporting our side. Not fighting tier 9s either. They could've all zerged and traded shot-for shot and STILL won.

The enemy team ended up taking something like 1000 damage total between 5 tanks. We ended up losing to the other team capping us out since we couldn't get back to base in time. (lolheavies) To this day I have no fucking clue how they managed to die so spectacularly. I can only imagine they lemming'd 1 by 1 into the waiting guns of 5 tanks or couldn't figure out how to fight the T-28 on the other team.

Never underestimate scrubs.

Looks like every premium is on sale right now, and certain ones that usually aren't even in the shop (KV-5) are in there now.

I recommend the SU100Y if someone is looking for a cheap one. That tank is a lot of fun.

Yep and keep in mind that the premium TDs are not to be affected in the upcoming TD/Visibility nerf in next patch.


I been playing in my Soviet Tier 2 T26 last couple sessions. Just love this tank in the Tier 2 battles. I got mine set up for stealth. Crew 100% camo trained and a camo net and binocs on my tank. I see the enemy long before he sees me. Soon as my crew gets their second line of skills done I'm going to get Sixth Sense. I miss having it. I transferred my old crew out some time back so I'm working on the new crew. Today I looked at the service record and at over 260 battles I'm rocking a 62% victory rate. Not too shabby.
