Well I know. That's why I never complained too much

Typically when asked in chat "how is the 430?" I say "Worst of the Russian Tier X med. So it's the 3rd best Tier X med."

I've focused more on my WN8 than win rate the last 30 days. Can't fix stupid, but I can definitely focus on my game. My WR has trended much higher over the last 1,000 battles (over 54%) even though my impression of my daily WR is terrible.

Just got the IS-7 today, I'm having much better luck with that than the E-100. Just had a game with 6,100 damage and 2,800 blocked by armor.

The E-100 150mm gun seems to not like me. I had bounce off the right side of Centurion 7/1, 300 meter range but still shouldn't have, with a standard AP round.

Nice job. That's more legitimate than my RW, where I just went around in a Tier V Panzer with the Derp Gun

Funny you say that, I did that earlier to today in the Panzer IVH with noting but premium rounds, I was working on that 25k damage event.

That's exactly the vehicle I got my 1 RW with. I had some really bad games by getting on donkey teams. I thought "screw it, I'm going to have some fun." Loaded up my Panzer IV H with Gold Rounds only, and proceeded to get 9 kills. Also got lucky and got in a Tier V match but only 3 Tier V's per side, so I could one shot most of the field of mostly Tier IV's and III's.

Another frustrating day. Had to quit after about 20 games. 1900 WN8 rating, 28 percent win rate.

Bots have better win rate than that. :/

was a pretty good weekend for me, right around 56% w/r
and 2100 wn8

the 3x for the first victory + happy medium mission for an additional 2k xp the 3 days helped a TON. i was able to just free xp the last 20k and picked up the STB1 so i could take advantage of the 50% off camo sale.

this thing's gun handling is AWFUL. i was going to go with the normal optics/vert/rammer however decided you can't really fix the handling so i setup for pure dps and hope quantity made up for quality shots hah! (no point seeing something first as you're gonna miss that shot) i went with vert/rammer/vents. i need a 50% crew retraining weekened to come up so i can retrain BIA. it is a low profile tank and the turret is smallish, GREAT gun depression so far.

we should do a list of best 3 tanks by tier on overall consensus here, just for the readers and the players! we should modify that list when a new patch is out and we have played the new or modified (buffed, nerfed) tanks.

it seems there are a lot of experienced players writing here.


my fav for tier 7 would be the T-29, Tiger P (actually both tigers are fun to play) IS-2 beast etc.

There are plenty of guides about tanks by tier. A person's playstyle is much more important when trying to match tanks then by specs alone.

Yeah it can be hard to say what's the "best" because it partly depends on your play style and strengths, though I do think some tanks rise above.

Leaving out premiums, first thought is:

Tier I - LOL Traktor or T1 Cunningham
Tier II - Don't know/Don't care
Tier III - Panzer I C maybe?
Tier IV - Matilda if it is top tier, otherwise maybe Hetzer with full camo and derp
Tier V - T49 or KV1
Tier VI - KV1S
Tier VII - T29
Tier VIII - AMX 50 100
Tier IX - WZ-111 1-4/E-75
Tier X - One of the Russian Meds

But at each tier there are a ton of legitimate choices for strong play.

T49 and KV1S are to be nerfed HARD. If you are grinding those lines, get those tanks out of the way fast. The M5 is also getting a huge nerf with its removal of the 75mm derp and replacement with a pew pew pew 37 that can do nothing to anything it faces.

Tier 3 suffers because it might be the only 3 in a tier 4-5 game. As such, while the 1C shooting gold can compete against lighter armored vehicles, I think the only strong tier 3 tank are TDs. No light/medium tank has a gun that can reliably do ANYTHING to tier 5 tanks. Not even my beloved T46 with either the 37 or the 75 can do much.

On E-100, I've done both. That Cent 7/1 was just AP, I'll shoot HEAT on certain things, use them accordingly. I have done exclusive HEAT also, still, I don't think I can play it well. Need to watch and learn more on how to use it.

Didn't realize that the T49 was getting nerfed. I thought it was untouched, just getting a name change?

The KV1S at Tier VI is getting nerfed, in that the KV85 that's replacing it isn't going to be nearly as good. 3 degrees of gun depression will just suck.

I'm not sure the KV1S itelf is actually being nerfed so much as being moved down a tier, provided you can afford to fire premium rounds. It's being moved to Tier V, has 660 hp, and a gun with huge Alpha and 140mm of penetration with the prem rounds (!!!!). That's just insane for Tier V. It might be the new boss at that Tier.

OK, I feel dirty now. After having my horrible day yesterday, I decided to do try out this T1 Pub Stomping thing. I'd never really done it a bunch in a row, just played 1 game here or there. Played 8 games in my T1 Cunningham with 50% camo crew. 7 Wins, never less than 4 kills (averaged a top gun a game). Only game I lost was to another pub stomper (only game I died too).

Feel bad now have to stop.

i pretty much carry full heat, no point gambling on a chance it may or may not pen. i don't even bother with HE for WTF's, as i'm not gonna sit there and reload for 15+ seconds to swap out ammo types.
