Are there less morons in the highest tiers? If not i may just give up on this game. I'm so sick of everyone going the same direction leaving me to cover an entire flank. Or a heavy camping at our flag, or a scout too chicken to do his job and hiding in a corner of the map.

I cut people slack if i'm in a low tier and xvm says they have 0k games or no games, but if you are in a tier 5,6 or 7 tank, i expect you to know how the games works and how to play

In my opinion, higher tier games has a better level of play. Yes, there are still morons. But they are more experienced morons. Plus, the people who aren't morons are better because they now have experience.

After 16k games, I've found most people in pub games are mindless and just follow the pack. I've seen 2 TDs hold off a pack of 12 or more while their team flanks evryone else.

I gave up on trying to be the one playing smart and let the others decide my fate.

- Follow the pack
- Hold flank solo

Out of those choices id follow the pack every single time :|

stat padders, its easy to get good WIN8 if you sit back and let others spot and draw fire, you wont get wins, but your stats will be ok. its such a mixed bag, TD's with speed rush out and die, scouts rush and die before anything can see what they spot, or as you say sit in back. But yes, Lemming train is without a doubt the worst thing in a game, if they push hard it can work well, but the reason 90% lemming is to follow the guy at front who is spotting and getting shot so they can shoot easy targets, not to push.

I get so frustrated with this game (no not game, players) i cant turn it on, but then a few good games with TEAMWORK make it all seem so fun i don't want to stop. I am really trying to just play and enjoy, but those 3 minute in 3/4 dead on your team games are heart crushing.

I still make the mistake of not paying attention some matches where all the pubbies go and getting wrecked on a flank by myself... the best thing to do at the start of the match is pay attention to where the 14 idiots are going.

Made it to the final 6 in the WGLNA playoffs. One more match and I'll get to play in SF for the finals.

I must be in the vast minority as most of the talk here is about playing heavies. I tend to get the most enjoyment out of playing the light and some medium tanks.

The one thing I HATE the most about this game is the stupid matchmaker software. Such a small change like it actually teaming people based on skill (even just W8 or similar stat) would make the game so much more fun, because then the morons would play with and against other morons, where-as the better players who actually care would be teamed together. It is such an easy change... Or if they think they will not have enough people to fill out teams, use it to fill teams with players of appropriate ranges such that the teams are more even. I hate being the only person with 58% win ratio in a particular tank and see nothing but morons on the team while the other team has 8-9 unicorns....

LOL, just killed a one of those Pro guys again, 250 gold for me. I actually had no clue he was in, I usually don't pay attention to chat as I'm web browsing during the count down.

Finished the round with 5 kills, last one being a ram kill to end the game.

what's the best mid-level ramming tank? I looooove ramming tanks.

If you really like ramming, work your way towards the E50/E50M. Probably the best ramming tanks in the game.

Also, buy the KV-5 if it goes on sale.

i'm all about the amx50b as well

speaking of the e50m lol, the other night a batchat was fighting my friend in his 140 near the bottom of the hill (C0) on sand river

http://www.worldoftanksguide.com/maps-new/map-sand-river.jpg

i was at the top of the hill and saw my chance, headed downhill full speed @ the bat, he never saw me coming, i rammed him for over 1100 dmg and killed him. i do have controlled impact in my e50m, i make it a point to try and ram stuff when i play it always haha, couldn't stop laughing for awhile

I can see a ranked game mode where you get an increase reward for winning. But in raw randoms, I can not see this working. The main problem is that people will tend to go back towards 50%. Even if you are the best of the best, your competition will be... the best of the best. So you will only win so many of those.

The adjustment I want on matchmaker is even more simple: Stop with the 5 extra higher tier vehicles on one team. Even a 5 year old can balance that out better. +/- one higher tier vehicle should be the max differential. The problem is how MM is implemented, it pulls players into a pool, splits arty up, and then creates a 15 man roster. It doesn't do a final rebalance of the TWO rosters beyond arty (of which it still messes up and I have screenshots to prove it).

Yea... we fucked up by not taking hill and letting the 32s just hold back the shit in middle. We expected them to come down hill and they didn't. Bad call is all.
What I do like about watching the top tier play is that one simple call can screw with the match that quickly. CW was more forgiving than that, but certainly not 7-42/54.

You need vehicles with a relatively high weight, and relatively high power/weight, and vehicles with at least a decent top speed. Mid tier, not much comes to mind beyond the KV series. They have enough speed that you can do a downhill ram.

Man I had a couple decent games last night. Absolutely rolled a team in my JdTiger. Had 6000+ damage, another 1000+ assisting damage (from teammates hitting guys I had crippled with dead engines/tracks). I mean, almost the entire top tier tanks on the enemy team lined up in front of me letting me blast them apart. I believe my WN8 for the match was 3998.

Only a single enemy shot even hit me and I deflected it because only my strongest armor was exposed (I believe it was an IS-6 or IS-8 that made the shot, it was for 400 damage, so I believe the IS-8). I don't remember the name of the map, but it is the one with the river going north/south down the center of the map with a small town around the river and 3 bridges that cross the river. It was assault, and I was on the assaulting team on the south, and went to the west side to the hill that is all the way on the edge of the map to be able to peek over it and light up anyone trying to push to the walled mansion/factory. I had 3 other tanks with me, 2 using the wall around the mansion/road, and one right next to me. We held off 11 of their tanks (we got lucky in that out scout picked up their arty moving to a hiding/firing position and we killed it early, so we also had 1 arty shooting at these guys, while they had none to respond with).
