Are there any particular players I should try to find replays or youtube vids that will show some tactics for various tanks? I look at some replays on wotreplays, but most of the time it is just them being top tier fighting a bunch of potato heads. I can have great games when i'm top tier, but I want to know how I should play when i'm in the T29 and i'm bottom tier. Or how to best play the M4. That's one of the few tanks I haven't quite figured out

The T29 is all about abusing its amazing turret armor. Find some spot to hull down and listen to the bounces. It also has pretty good gun depression so can peek over hills with little problems (and also still abusing that turret). Even bottom tier, the T29 is a bitch to pen.

M4 has problems. It can get wrecked by any gun, it won't bounce a shot on its "armor" unless it is a tier 3 shooting. The 105 was nerfed into oblivion (it was needed, before it was OP as hell). Personally, I recommend running and gunning in the M4.

Couple photos from the trip...

T44? outside the exhibition:

...

Drinking beers with Quickybaby:

T34-85 I think.

It was cool having quicky and jingles commentate on the streams. But their 'expert' play by play was lacking.

And damn it, that freaking sound guy needs to get his ass fired for the feedback on the microphones. Lower the freaking gain man, it is not hard.

I two shotted an M4 yesterday with my Tiger I. I typically do pen them just about every shot, but never killed one with two hits. And both shots were on the front armor.

Cool shots from the expo, that is a T34. The T44 doesn't have the big hatch or MG on the front. Turret is also different.

And yes, horrible weekend for me. I had two games where players flat out refused to get in the cap, causing us to lose.

Unlocked the Tiger II and having a rough time with it. T9's and T10's cut through it like butter.

Truly a special pack of retards this morning. One was clearly a TK'er. New account, 29 PR. He started the match by blasting someone, then turning blue, so I got rid of him. The Stuart responded to this by shooting the StuG, which shot me. StuG driver made it 4k games without seeing a blue tank (how?), and didn't know wtf was going on. 4k games and 1900 PR.

How often do yall keep a vehicle after you've researched out of it?

Depends. My Tiger I is an elite tank, so I keep it to earn cash/Free Exp or train crews for other Heavies (Like my Tiger II).

I kept my Stug III G because I just love playing with it.

outside of my Tiger my favorite tank currently is my VK30.01M. Really having great games with this tank.

I keep tanks I enjoy. This includes 10s, of which I have sold quite a few. If I don't enjoy a tank, I won't play it. I have no interest in clan wars, so have no need to hold on to 10s I don't like.

Just as Possessed Freak, I keep the tanks I have fun with. At the same time, I also do well in them too. While I did do well in Tiger (P) and had some fun, just not a keeper.

Some I just keep for now for On Track missions, to be able to get the 250k XP fairly quickly.

Started playing russian tanks for the first time, currently doing the at line for the mission. The guns on these seem amazingly more effective at stock with a 50% crew than others I've been in.

Hope that T34 crew is the primary crew for some other american heavy. Spending freeXP on a 5th skill is a waste though imo unless you already have all the tanks you want to play and don't care about future trees coming down the works.

Exactly. There are some tanks that are well worth skipping over via FreeXP. 440k is a LOT of FreeXP.

Price for increasing my T34 commander from 77% to 100% 5th skill: nearly 440,000 free xp.

Wow, I only have 3 completed skills and 64% on the 4th. How many games do you have in that?

I didn't know better at one time and they were the original crew, later moved them to M103 and now just transfer back and forth.

been having a blast going back and forth between bulldog and patton. now I just need that T57 so I can have the best of both worlds...

I dunno how people can play slow ass TD's, arty, or heavies - they're just sooooooooooo slow.

I hate slow tanks since they have so little impact on the game. They're good for pubstomping (provided you are the spearhead and aren't british) but any half decent player will get out of the way of a T95 and flank it.

But when the ducks line up for you it's so much fun...

It depends how you play. Heavies have a huge impact on some maps. TD's if played as they should be, can be a huge help. Like in my JPIV I sit back completely hidden and snipe away. Enemy wont even see me in most cases, but I will typically get 1500dmg or so in a decent game with it. Although some maps just dont work well for that.

Some heavies also work very well for sniping. But can also be used to just take on the other teams heavies.

I love my mediums, but they have paper armor. So you really have to be aware of your surroundings or you can get one shotted by a big heavy.

I did the same thing - I used to not know how premium tanks worked, and had crews trained for them, but this crew is trained for T110E5 now, and used also on T34.

I haven't hardly played these two tanks in a year, but show nearly 2200 battles in the T34 and over 750 in the T110E5.

Just got my 3rd pro, 250 gold. And there were two of them platooned together

Him: Object 263 Me: Obj 604

I put the initial shot him into, a couple people shot at him bring him down to 500. By that time my gold... premium loaded. His friend died and I YOLO'd down the hill at him with auto aim.

what am I missing here? You use the non-premium tank crew in your premium tank (presumably because they don't suffer a penalty), and then put them right back into your non-premium tank?
