The pershing did yolo in there, so i don't think there was much time to react. The Caer did see him sooner than I though. I though he was still looking down the alley after you rounded the corner.

Do you run any mods? I didn't remember seeing you use autoaim at all.

I use QuickyBaby's mod pack and that's all. I feel like that gives the best information needed in the game.

I think the render range is the most important thing to have. A mechanic you can exploit to be out of range for someone to not shoot you then you can move in 5m to take your shot on him, it works well on maps like Prokhorovka. When you're in middle shooting east side of map.

Someone asked about my map size, the replay reduces the map size. I keep mine pretty big.

I'd say keep on with the British heavies. I really enjoyed the tier 9 tank. As many people like the Black Prince, I didn't. It's great top tier... bottom tier not so much, kind of hard to take on an E-75.

The Caernarvon got a lot better with top gun. Funny, got my Ace Tanker in using the BP gun... :/ I unlocked the FV 215b yesterday, haven't bought it but the Conqueror was an easy grind, a lot of experience from the USA T29 line. Hull down like a boss.

That's not me, but rather a cheap imitation.

Wow, rood :C I'm sad now

I may have to rebuy a Cromwell now. Tsavo's fault. Was looking for a fun mid-tier tank to play with.

I joined these forums not long ago, but I've already been mentioned D:

Did i actually have a positive influence on someone?

I also realize now that there's a distinct lack of tea in my guide thread there...

Watching your videos makes me want to try Cromwell again. One thing I didn't like about Cromwell and Comet are the slow rounds.

Nice Pool's medal game too.

If you're an NA player, send me a message and I'll pontoon with ya.

I've both the Crom and Crom B, each with 3 marks

Dang datalink, 2 zeven reviews in as many months. Never knew about that crack between the buildings. What time does he do the replay reviews? Poor gnome in the t32 Do any of you watch dreadshell gamings vids? I think he does a good job explaining tactics. Believe he also watches zeven's stream.

Thanks, yeah, I'm on NA.

Makes me wish I bought the Cromwell B, the stats seem to be same except the hard and medium terrain stats and they're better.

Played a few games already, batting 50% so far but did get an Ace Tanker in it already. I believe the original crew went on to my Comet. I got a feeling it'll be "easy" to get a 3rd Mark of Excellence on it. I did it in my Comet, just need to stay alive and deal damage. Wonder what the requirement will be for it.

Once the medium tank stuff starts after the heavy tank, crew XP ought to take off a bit. Loving the IS-7 On Track XP, heavy tank XP and then using a personal reserve, 8x crew XP per game on T-10. Went from 75% crew to 90% on 2nd crew skills.

He usually does replay reviews on Friday. He likes to choose games where it was a close loss, so you can see mistakes that could have turned it around into a win. So I try to save replays where I messed up to give him so he can point out mistakes and people can learn.

Alright, is it me or is it harder to grind money in this game than it used to be? Sure seems that way to me.

Second, I tried to leave my clan but WG wouldn't let me. Kept hitting the comfirm button and nothing would happen. Has anybody else had that problem before?

Good to see people still playing, even if it's not as much as we used to play.

can't really tell the difference between now, or 1,2,3,4 years ago. Do you have a premium account? cos without one, yes it is kind of hard to make credits.

i have like 15 millions credits and 15 tier X but i do have a premium account. no tier 8 premium tho, as i don't see the point in owning one, except maybe the 1 tier gap only match maker, which helps for stats.

the campaign missions, if you wanna do them give good credits.

Main point of tier VIII premium vehicles is the 50% extra crew training, which you can't get elsewhere (other than those consumables). Good for training up your crews.

The extra money is just a nice bonus.

I'm kind of sad that the IS-7 on track is going on right now, I'm caught up in Campaign 4 (yay, fame, er lame points) and my clan's 8th and I'm in the 1,000 right now, but I'd rally like to finally get the IS-3, T-10, IS-7.

30,000 games and I've never played the IS-3 yet, it's like some sort of tanks anomaly.

My clan made one foray into clan wars/campaign (The IS-5 one) and it didn't go well, so we just dropped back to tournaments and strongholds.

I'm in PBKAC and, aside from the campaigns, we tend to avoid Clan Wars 2.0 because it's garbage.

We were very active in original CW, however, before you had to devote most of your play time in strongholds just to grind influence. We're getting burned out by stronk grinding right now, can't wait until the 4th crappaign is over.

I miss the Euro map. I miss epic wars. I miss actual diplomacy. Ah well, I was burned out of CW while it was still in the Euro map (just after the great donut war (Long live BAD)).

I have absolutely nothing positive to say about campaigns and the shenanigans that went on during them. Sub 50%ers running around with gift tanks spouting that they were the best of the best. And the complete childish 'salty tears' responses from the people who got them meta-gaming WGamings ineptitude towards whole clans who felt they got screwed when they actually played through the event, not knowing the backroom dealings.

wow, the ages of BAD, I was in Rel-2 at the time, when Relic owned italy and a few islands around there.

Then rel-2 promptly disbanded 2 or 3 more times.

I participated in the first campaign, but left after my PC died, skipped the 2nd because the 7201 didn't look appealing, finally got the m60 in the 3rd campaign, and and torn between 907/T95E6 for the current one, provided PBKAC can stay in the top 15 clans, if not, I need to stay above position 3,000

Clan wars was fun and ejoyable before influence grinds, enjoyed the civil war that was put on in late/early 14/15, CR/D was actually alive for a short while

So I have been playing for about 1.5 years, but I have never joined a clan, or played strongholds or clan wars or any of that.

Is any of it actually worth it? I have fun playing random, so never bothered with any of that stuff.

Currently clan wars requires so much effort and rewards with so little (except for campaigns, where you can get special reward tanks otherwise unavailable to the common player) reward, that I don't recommend seeking clan wars level of play.

Clan wars functions like this:

There's a global map, which is based on a browser, where you can bid influence to attack/land on a territory. You then either fight other candidates for the territory or the territory's current owner in game. Battles made in the browser map become scheduled events in game.

Holding a territory nets a gold income per day, which varies on each territory (province is the name they're given) which is currently very limited.

Influence, the currency used to "chip into" fights on territories has to be farmed in another mode in game: strongholds.

Strongholds are fairly fun, but get boring quickly. Tier 6, 8, and 10 are the available tiers for strongholds. CW clans use it to farm influence and the meta strongly leans towards fast compositions as the goal is to get in as many battles as possible while still winning the majority of them. Baddies bring slow, heavy tanks and camp, which is a waste of time for all in the match. Be considerate, use fasties.

Team Battles apparently still exist. I haven't played a team battle since before strongholds became a thing. As such, I don't remember diddly about them.

Benefits of clans are, depending on the clan:
-Platooning with players of equal or greater skill
-credit, experience, and other boosts
-Ability to compete for rewards such as rare premium tier ten tanks, special camouflage, and other various small things
-Tournament teams

If you want loads of gold, seek a solid tournament team. Gold payouts as much as 10k/week, sometimes more, for nothing more than playing the game well.

If you really want to be cereal, you can shoot for WGLNA, WarGaming League Play. I know little about it aside from the fact you have to run vanilla and you can be mean to the pubs. I'd fail primarily for the latter.

Ah ok, thanks for the overview.

I do see those T-22 Mediums from time to time, which always seem very OP. I assume that is one of the reward tanks.

My current WN8 is roughly 1200ish, which I don't think makes me good enough for some of the higher level play. But I now see why some of the high level players just shoot premium rounds all the time, if they are actually getting income from in game, rather than having to buy it.

Higher tier loses money, and the best way probably to make more is get a tier 8 premium.

I believe those T-22s are for people who do the Personal Missions in Rampage mode... err Domination and Steel Hunt? I haven't tried for it yet but it's similar to the Personal Missions for the girl crews, Stug IV, T28 Concept, T55A (I just need to do LT15), and Object 260.

2nd MoE on Cromwell done. Didn't help I sucked out on 3 games in a row for 0-700 damage and one game crash at end of match. :/

I queued up for Rampage once. 2:30 in I stopped and decided to do random instead, as the mode didn't interest me anyway.

Might try to get some clan mates interested so we can all try at the same time. Not to rig, but just to actually get enough population for a game. At least do some of the missions for the money.

Been having really good games with my TVP 50/51 lately. It's a solid vehicle. A lot of 5k+ damage games. I'm averaging close to 3k damage/game in it (which is good for me).

I did the same as you datalink7, took to long just to get in. Still not sure what the Rampage mode is about.

Well the leave clan worked today, so I'm out. It's hard for me because I work nights every 2 months for two months so I can't be on for CW for half the year. Plus that clan was going no where.

I was thinking about the money making again and this is what I think the deal is, at least for me. My most played tank is my Lowe and playing it now compared to years ago is that I have far fewer matches that make 100k credits or more than in the past. One part is that very few matches is the Lowe near the top anymore and that is where the big money came in,being the big dog of the match. The other is the power creep over the years had led to the Lowe being cannon fodder for most tier tens. Lowe at the bottom of the team = poor chance of doing anything.

How much do you spend on premium? It's $100/year+. Tier 8 premium is ~$40-50 one time.

The Leopard 1 seems to have hard masteries - I just had top damage 3368 and confederate and didn't get any mastery badge.

It's gonna take a lot more than 3k damage to ace most tier ten tanks. 5k+ and you might still fall short of Ace Tanker
