Nice Stuka. My highest in any tank is 8.3k, with the Bat-Chat 25t.

I spent my weekend working on two tier 9 LTs, RU 251 and T49. Unlocked both tier 10s but didn't buy them. I like waiting for On Track 30% discounts. Got 6 tier 10s I need to buy at some point, two of them SPGs, so no hurry on them.

Yeah, I had to choose between the M48, IS7, and JPE100. Decided on the JPE, and its been a blast. Quite a few 5k+ dmg games. But this one topped my highest damage ever, which was in a JagdTiger, which was 7.2k I think.

Currently grinding through the VK100, which has been a blast. 60% WR in that thing.

I like my jag100, but it hasn't had games like that. Also seems pt's penned pretty easily and doesn't pen others as well. But some good games.

Keep the lower plate hidden, and the MG turret on top of the case mate hidden, and you are typically fine. Very few tanks can pen the front. Angle when reloading.

How are yours take take on 9.18? Personally I like it a lot, but I think that one spg should be allowed in platoons.

So far, I mostly love it. The MM is so much better. Both for high and mid tier tanks. The only issue I have seen with MM, is sometimes a team has an arty, and the other team does not. And this tends to end up in lop sided matches. Unless the arty is pretty good, the team with an extra real tank wins.

And yeah, I would be fine with a single arty in a platoon.

As for the T9/10 lights. Its a mixed bag. A lot of people complained when several got a nerf after the sandbox testing, but I would argue they are still too strong. I have seen them dominate games more often than not. And its not just by unicum players. Guys with 1200-1400 WN8's getting top damage in a T10 light. Their guns may not be as good as mediums, but that high mobility more than makes up for it. If in a heavy tank, they just fly by me, get in 1-2 shots, and are gone before my turret can even turn to aim.

Finally watched that replay. Gunner RNG was with ya for sure, still well played. Luckily T110E4 was shooting HE and you rolled 1250 on him too, LOL.


9.18 is nice, I don't see that many 3 SPGs in game. Feels like I'm getting more 0 SPG games than before. Stun is annoying if you get focused by more than 1 SPG.

I do not like the nerfs to the LTs. I don't plan on playing any tier 10 LTs until their view range is buffed to where I can put coated optics and get 445m view range. I shouldn't have a 30m or so window to out spot MTs who will have 445m+ view ranges. I'm fine with their DPM nerf but accuracy was nerfed too.

I miss my old RU 251, 80 km/h speed and just all around decent and fun tank to play. Now, eh....

Oh, forgot about the new match making. Absolutely love it. I can now play a tier 3,4,5 tanks and have fun. Granted my skill level says I shouldn't but once in a while, something different.

Yeah, that one shot between the two builds was a total gamble, but luckily threaded the needle on that one. I was expecting the T28 to get behind me, but he never did, he just camped. So got lucky there.

And yes, the LT's view range nerf was uncalled for I think. But I think the gun handling as it is now is a bit too good for some of them. Although the RU got hit harder for some reason. The T100 LT though is definitely an OP tank. I swear I bounce more shots off them then T10 russian meds.

Oh, I will say that I went from disliking my AMX 1375 to loving it. It got a huge gun handling and speed buff. Its a great light now.

You know, for the most part the Team Damage and Team Killing logic in WoT works pretty good. But sometimes I wish there was a way to report people that go above and beyond just TK'ing. Last night I got TK'ed at the end of a match that I was going to get a Brothers in Arms medal in because this other player was mad we didn't invite him to the platoon (he didn't have 3 kills). I made me so angry.

Oh, for load out I run gun rammer, gun laying drive, and camo. You could switch out one for binocs, but even with them the view range typically is not enough to see past allies you have in the area. But it does give you like 390 view range, which is quite good for T7. I use the gun laying drive because the gun traverse is so small, I want my aim time to be down when I rotate the hull

I haven't read through the whole thread but has anyone noticed a significant change in the game since the last major update. My complaints are that I've gone from about a 52% (average) player to winning no more than 33%. Also, and this is weird ... most of the games I play in are blowouts. It is not uncommon to have a game go 12-4 or worse. Was in a game recently that went 15-1.

My WoT buddy and I no longer play because the enjoyment has gone ...


Anyone else?

Your win rate can't be because of that - it'd affect both teams - but the game seems less fun to me as well.

I agree that it shouldn't ... but the games seem slanted now. I played again last night and was blown out, again. There are MANY FTP games out there and I seem to be gravitating away from Wargaming's offerings. I've played (perhaps) three (3) games of WoW this year so far ...

My win rate has stayed about the same on average (around 52.3% recent), and I am loving the new MM. Before the patch it sucks to be in a Tier 8 tank, with 10 Tier 10 tanks. It was rough to say the least. Now, it will be ~6-10 Tier 8's, and a few Tier 9 and Tier 10 tanks. The only oddity I have seen is where one team has a single arty, and the other does not. But this is more rare now as they did adjust that on the server side.

As far as blow out goes, I do see more on event weekends, such as we have had here the last two weekends. This is because lots of new and inexperienced players play, so skill can be skewed. But MM in no way takes skill into account.

Guys, don't miss the point: none of these things can be explained by game changes, since the teams are both affected.

If your team was the only one changed, then it'd explain it, but the other team is also. That nullifies any changes to win rates.

If they doubled tank power, both teams get it. If they halved tank power, both teams get it. If they made any other changes, both teams get it.

So the changes can be criticized, but they can't be used to show win rate changes or 'blowout' changes.

Really good players can reshape the games they're in, especially if they platoon as they frequently do. The matchmaker changes mean that they're much more frequently in tanks that have the ability to be driven to that potential rather than weak tanks that get slam dunked by a wall of higher tiers.

I should theoretically know, I used to be actually good at the game (joke's on me I'm playing trash tanks badly now at a near 50% w/r rather than continually credit grinding in a type I know like the back of my hand).

And that's simply random. Team assignments are random as far as 'good players'. If they're on one side, it's random.

Equal chance they'll be on your team as the other.

But what we are saying is that the match maker changes have nothing to do with player skill. The changes basically make it so that the tiers are more balanced. So instead of having 10 Tier 10 tanks, 2 tier 9, and 3 tier 8 (meaning the tier 8's get screwed), its inverted. So there will be 10 tier 8, 3 tier 9, and 2 tier 10. This way you are more likely to see tanks that are of a similar tier. And, you are more likely to be top tier every three games. If you are a top tier tank, going against a bunch of lower tiers, you should be leading the team.

Your words make sense ... but it isn't working out that way. because of 9.18 my actual playing time have dropped from perhaps 30 games/week to 1-2.

For team balance, I haven't noticed anything. In last 7 days, 60 games, I'm still doing about 58% win rate, which is par to me now days.


A game I had today. AMX 13 90 - 1276 base XP not good enough for Ace Tanker!!

Had a nice game, tried to provide vision for the team but didn't do it right it seems. A whooping 123 spotting damage. My gun was on the other hand, 4600 damage on 6 kills.
