It really winds me up when I am having a great game, just popped a tank or embroiled in an exciting firefight at close range, tanks circling one another..... then out of the blue I get tracked by a random outsider, artillery or team mate and it's all over.
So annoying to be in the zone and jolted right back out of it.
On my "lag" situation, it feels very, very slightly snappier. I switched my keyboard to a back USB 2.0 port and mouse is plugged into my keyboard on a 1.1 port for now. Keyboard actions feel a tiny bit snappier and the mouse hasn't suffered as a result of being in a 1.1 port. Did a bit of fiddling with my LCD TV and found out that changing the 'label' on an input actually has an impact on picture and settings.
Combined all of the above with updated ATI drivers and a reduction to 'Low' graphics settings (they have no 1280x720 resolution support) has made a small but noticable reduction in the 'lag effect' I was having. Seems that it is a very rare issue and only two other people that I have spoken to (including one moderator) have it or have heard of it.
On a positive note: Patch Notes!
These guys post their proposed patch changes days(weeks?) before they patch up. This way we can learn what's coming next. A very good idea in my opinion and I like it.
