Lowe exp income seems pretty normal. The credit income is massive though. I never thought I'd be able to afford random modules at a decent pace, but now I don't care about the money anymore.

I think I finally got used to the derp gun on the su-152. Had a few great games yesterday with it, nailing big tanks for massive damage every time.

I killed a tiger from 47% and IS-4 from 14%.... good times.

i'm liking the obj 704, i hang back protecting arty, usually by the end game most tanks are hurt already trying to come kill arty/cap and i can 1 shot them.

i took out the last 5 last night. but i don't feel the 704 is OP at this point as the reload takes forever

currently i have rammer/vents/binocs
i'm thinking about replacing vents with coated optics

Really? You already have a bonus to sight range with the vents. Optics wouldn't give you that much more sight range over vents, and your reload would suffer.

Most stock tanks suck. I hear once the Panther is fully upgraded its pretty nice. I'll find out today once I start grinding mine. Once you get out of the mid levels the xp grind gets horribly long and suffering. If the tank is fun though its not so bad. Take the 3002DB for example. That tank is so damn fun to play with that once fully upgraded I didnt care how much xp I was making. I just loved playing it so much. The only reason why I cared about xp was that I was wanting to go on past to the Panther.

The Panther at stock is alright. Not much to shout about but not much to complain about either.

Maxed out, it's pretty lethal. It's probably lost it's title as top T8 Med to the Pershing but it's still a solid lump of metal which will spit forth shells of pure own into almost any opponent who dares to stand 300m away in your LoS

Stock 75mm is woefully inadequate for most things it needs to hit. Can't even add modules until you get the upgraded suspension which is 13k xp and some change. Armor wise its good but without a good gun its a weak medium at best in stock form. Soon as I get suspension and turret, which costs a little more than 32k xp, I expect good things from the Panther. Nice thing is though once I do have the suspension and turret the Panther is completely upgraded and only have the Panther 2 itself to grind for xp-wise. Also I'm lucky enough to have enough gold on hand to buy my way into the Panther 2 if I want to but I'm going to grind as much xp as I can first. If the next patch gets delayed, which does happen sometimes, I may not need to spend a single coin for the Panther 2.

Tiger & Tiger II is fine once they are fully upgraded. In stock form they are lacking which is common with most stock tanks.

Stag, if you are going to research them then you might as well equipe them. Its not the creds that is hard and slow to earn but the xp. I already had the engines, guns, and radio researched from earlier tanks so I only have to research the Panther's suspension and turret. Which is a total xp cost of 32k. For those wanting to get into the Panther I would say the ideal way is to have 32k Free xp saved up so when you buy it you can get straight to the suspension, turret, and 88mm gun. The stock 75mm gun is woefully inadequate for 90% of the tanks you face on the battlefield. At least that is my experience so far. You play with T9 and T10 tanks quite a bit.

yea i should have used free xp to unlock but i had none left since i used it all to bypass the DB haha
it was horrible using the 7,5 L70 gun, it was awesome on the 3001p but didn't do shit on the panther
i have the top gun unlocked now, it is ok, but yea maybe i will just equip the last engine
or do you think i should buy both and use both as they unlock?

The top gun is going to get you more xp faster so that I would get. Not sure about last engine. It makes the Panther faster but if you are racing to get to the Panther II before the next patch then maybe its best to save the xp to research the panther II. Normally I'd say get the engine but with the patch coming I'm not sure. In my case I already had it researched before I even got the Panther. I guess try running without the last engine and see how it goes. After you get the Panther II you could always come back and get the last engine on the Panther. I'm assuming you plan to keep the Panther anyway. I know I am. At least until the patch and I get the E-50. After I get the E-50 then I'll decide whether I want to keep the Panther or not. The Tier changes could change the play experience and make it even more fun to play. I think that is what people are expecting anyway.

Edit: Finally got the second turret. Now I can use the best gun and grind onto the panther 2! 164k xp to go!
Edit2: The difference between the stock 75mm and the 43L/71 88mm is like night and day. Performance is way up now. Doing much more damage and making better creds and xp. The fully upgraded Panther is a fun tank now IMO. Doesn't bounce shells as much as the 3002DB armor but it can take a few hits before expiring. Looking forward to the Panther II.

i don't plan to keep the panther, i only want to grind to the panther II to get the E-50. which i should be able to, i'll probably save all my credits and unlock the panther II, then not buy it while i grind for the engines. that way when the patch comes out if i need to i can buy the panther II right away.

on a fun note last night, i saw a T-54 take out an IS-7 , that was a good watch, the T-54 was on the other side of a dead lowe and the is-7 was just to slow to get around and get a shot in as the 54 kept circling and dinging the 7 until it was dead

Yeah, I love my 54... the only tank I have too much trouble against is the Pershing. But I'm trying a new strategy and it seems to work pretty well. Instead of trying to circle the Pershing, I let the Pershing circle me and I just keep my front facing it. The Pershing usually bounces off my front and I get hull shot's.

Just got the vk3002 on my way to the Panther. How painful is it going to be if I leave it stock and shoot straight for the panther. Or is it worth fully upgrading?

What's the eta on the next patch?

I only remember it from Beta, but the 3002DB was one of my favorite tanks for a long time. Wouldn't hesitate to take it up against a T44 which is a tier higher. Again that was in beta... It was definitely worth the upgrading... but then again, I had the some of the upgrades already done from the 3601.

Then again, if your making the run for the panther 2 you might want to just push through?

Its one of the best , if not the best, dogfighting tanks in the game. Get it fully upgraded and its one hell of a fun tank to play. Its armor can bounce Tier 10 tank shells and does so fairly regularly. The gun does good damage too. If you like to brawl with a tank you will like the 3002DB.

Patch time hasn't been confirmed yet. Officially they are saying end of July or beginning of August. Patches are known to get pushed back some too so I'd say August 1st at the earliest. It could go as late as late August though. I'm guessing August sometime.

I got rid of my LOLTraktor and bought a Panzer III. I forgot how much fun this speed demon is. Platooning with Level 5 arty means that I always have a fun arty target on the enemy team.

PzIII is easily one of my favorite tanks just for fun (I think I was complaining about it a few pages back - upgrade it and its awesome). If I can get a tier 4-5 game with it I rarely leave with less than 4 kills. Love getting ram kills with it

To the dudes asking:

DO NOT skip the DB. It's commonly known as the most fun German medium to play, and most folks (including me) have way more fun with it than in the Panther.

The stock Panther is just horrendous. You can't even mount a camo net or binocs until you upgrade the suspension - yes, Wargaming want you to play with no equipment until you grind 14k.

NEVER get hit in a Panther. This is harder than it sounds because you're in a huuuuge vehicle that enemies will almost always see from across the map, camo net or not. When you do get hit usually what happens is: you'll lose your ammo rack, your gunner will get depressed over it and blow his brains out, the driver will get depressed about the gunner and blow HIS brains out too, the tank will catch fire and the engine will explode.

It's absolutely worth upgrading every item you can on the Panther (YES, get the 2nd engine) just so the damn thing is useful in battle. Remember, you've got to get through a massive 164k for the Panther II, and top gear doesn't make the Panther great, it just allows it to be competitive.

Don't get me wrong... you can absolutely be successful and have some kickass battles with it, but you've got to have excellent situational awareness and basically play like a Panzer 4 with no camo in a Tier 9 fight until you find (or create) an opportunity to exploit.

EDIT: My ingame name is Armor. Look me up if you want to run some Panther platooning!
