If you mean me, I had my Tiger II (King Tiger) not KV. I finally sold my KV. I was running the 107 for a long time but got VERY frustrated when it would not do dick to big things. So I changed back to the derp so I could at least hurt the big things before getting one shotted.

Played again last night. mostly in the T29. I'm really liking the tank now. I'm not finding the ears on the upgraded turret a big problem like I thought I might. I just wiggle the turret when not firing. In one fight in Lakeview a PzIV was faced off against me in town. I don't know why he didnt try to run for it but he was just moving forwards and backwards a bit each way in front of me and I was just sitting between two buildings protected from arty. He was trying to shoot the ears and I started wiggling the turret to make it harder and then I also wiggled the tank's body a bit just to make sure he couldn't hit anything there. I was laughing hard because it looked like my tank was doing the hootchie cootchie dance or something and he was moving forward and backward. A weird dance sequence between tanks. I killed him after three shots and then finally moved on to six more kills. I got seven kills that fight but I was the biggest tank in the game so not exactly a fair fight with most of them. Baddest one I faced was a IS.

I wish I had the fight taped. Put it to some music and put it up on youtube as a joke. It would have made for a funny WoT video.

Up close the ears are a huge liability. It basically negates the ability of the t-29 to facehug to any sort of effect, which makes your huge armored turret useless.

Yeah, I know but the tank performs pretty good despite the ears. If you can get into a hull down position from range and shoot the tank can do some serious damage. I'm liking the tank despite its flaw. I find it a fun tank. Curious how the T32 performs. Still undecided if I'll go beyond the T29. I do want to push past the KT and T20 tanks. I'm really liking them too.

I don't think there is not a lot of details yet. There is this thread that discusses whats known so far. Also has the link to the official release info. I'd say read through it and you'll know as much as anyone else.

Heres whats on the test server:

Notable things are:

- New tier 4/5 light tanks
- Bugs with E75 mudflap fixed
- New map
- Premium tier 8 medium added, chinese type 59

So nothing too exciting there. I drove the type 59 on the test server, its a slow T54 i think ive never driven a T54 but ive seen how fast they can go, type 59 looks the same but its slower with a worse gun. This was apparently added due to a request from wargamings chinese partner. Lovely how they listen to their partners but don't listen to the community about artillery limits and malinovka/komarin... Dosent look like american heavys are ready yet.

Top speed is 56, it handles like i imagine a T54 would handle, extremely well, very fast at turning etc. Acceleration sucks though and i dont think it can actually reach that top speed without a hill i could be wrong about that though. It bounces shells like the T54.

You can try it on the test server, there's EU, russian and US players on it its one big server. You start with 10k gold on test server and all the stuff you have now on your account. The type 59 costs 10k gold though so dont use any if you plan to try it.

Only players who have registered prior to September 1st can access public test server. So thats most people but just in case anyone does all this and registered after then... wasting their time

- Go to "C:\Games" and create a new folder, call it "World of tanks TEST" or whatever you want really

- Copy all the content from "C:\Games\World_Of_tanks" to "C:\Games\World of tanks TEST"

- Download the patch 0.6.7 here "http://game.worldoftanks.com/news/notifications/public-test-server-067-update" and install it except instead of installing it in the default world of tanks directory you install it into the test copy you created above

- Launch the game directly from "C:\Games\World of tanks TEST" Just log in with your normal account details, itll likely all be in russian but you can figure out whats what easily enough.

so when are we supposed to play to get the 5x? and how would the 5x be bad unless you're ONLY playing tanks for the extra xp and not grinding.

so for say the tanks i am still grinding, i can just continue like normal, get 2x XP and keep playing correct?

You're essentially screwing yourself out of the first day of 5X. Play tommorrow sometime, where it's still considered the same day, but the 5X actually takes effect. You would still get the remaing days 5X for however long the special lasts.

since i'm grinding my t44 still, i should just play for the double, and continue playing tonight to keep the grind going as i'll earn way more than the 5x from not playing until tomorrow

So... to get this 5x bonus and not miss the extra 3x....I'd have to not play tonight then make sure to play in the morning before work. I could then play again after 3pm PST to get the "next day" bonus. I'll pass.

Kinda stupid to set the bonus to start at a time other than the normal reset time.

Nope, not edited, just a hell of a good game. Took the hill, killed a jag panzer IV from above. Wounded the hell out of an M6 up there. Came zooming down the hill and took out a KV3 from the back while it was engaged in the front. Then took out a Panzer IV that was also ignoring me. Took a miracle shot at a priest and killed it while running full steam at the base. Turned and killed a hetzer who was defending from outside the base. Killed an M4 to end the game. Most of these were from 90-100% to 0.

[edit] I also had a good game with my IS. Another 6 kill game but this one was because I was top tier and killed two T1's, a T34, an M4, ram killed an SU-5 while killing a KV3 in their base. Our tiger thought I was running to my death but I said sometimes you have to go straight at the enemy. Screw this dodging and edging around BS, just run and gun!
