It does have some correlation in the sense that higher tier tanks are put on the top of the list. Example an IS4 being matched against an E-75, another IS4, etc. The weighting has some relevance and most of the times are put at the correct spots, but obviously you'll get instanecs of mediums getting matched against heavies.

I personally like when one team has more of a higher tier than the other, but to compensate the other team has more of the one lower tier. Yeah the extra 2 tier 6's are worth the extra tier 7 but less tier 5...

Eh, as long as the heavies defend the initial rush in a pack you are fine. If I see the medium line up then I just set myself to cover a line and try to track as many as I can. If I am in arty I either set up in TD mode or cover a line with top down. Shoot at the first, hit the second.

that's the problem as soon as the round starts, people split up and go to the 2-4 chokepoints. then i get called a noob cuz i'm chilling @ spawn waiting for the wolfpack arty rush, instead of rushing into a chokepoint.

i have the is-7 unlocked now, but don't feel like spending the 6.1 million to buy it right now, i'll wait until the russian patch.

im 20k or so away from the t54, and about 40k away from the t50-2 right now.
once i get one of those, i will be going to the e100 starting at the tiger and grinding up

I hear the T29 is the best tank for the US line and I have that already and thinking of maybe taking it up to T32. But I don't know if I want to chase the American line any further than that. Where I can see value in running up the German Heavy line.

Nice, I am progressing through 10 lines (all of the German plus a couple Russian/US). Highest I got is the Tiger II. I unlocked the IS3 but have no credits for it yet. 30K from Panther II, 50k from obj 212. Everything else is a LONG ways away (especially my slugger which I *hate*).

Well, I'm terrified of T30s. That cannon is just obscene. The t-32 is a joke and the T-34 is a pretty decent brawler. I think out of the whole bunch the t29 and the t30 have the biggest intimidation factor.

I'm scared of E-75s in general though. Punchy and tough at any given range, provided you don't catch on fire of course.

I have the T29 and I like it. The higher level American heavies do not interest me much. Mainly because I hear so much negative things about them. I have the Tiger 2 and I enjoy it more than the T29. At first I wasn't going to go beyond the Tiger 2 but now since they have fixed some of the weak spots of the E-75 and E-100 I'll at least go for the E-75. People are reporting its much better since the patch. On the Russian side of things I have the T34/85 and had planned to push on up to the T-54 eventually. I had the T-43 and T-44 back in beta but I have never tried the T-54. Now that I have the Type 59 however I'm in no hurry to push the Russian medium line since its a watered down version of the T-54 and makes serious money. I do have an American T-20 medium tank that is fairly fun and I'd like to push up to the Patton. That tank is always tough to play against, like the Russian T-54, IMO so I'm thinking it must be good. I need to find out though so I'll push onto it.

So, for the time being when I'm not farming creds in my Lowe and Type 59 I'll play in my Tiger 2 and push for the E-75. I'm halfway to it now. Also jumping into my T-20 when the Tiger 2 is out of comission. I'll sprinkle in some Tier 2 action with my T-26 from time to time when the upper end starts to get too frustrating or boring. Pretty much my plan for a while.

I think for now I'll just push on the German heavy line and the American medium line. That should keep me plenty busy. When the next patch hits then I'll see how things look. Hopefully the American heavy line will improve.

The German heavy line is more enjoyable grinding up I felt. Of course that was before the recent patch changes. Not sure if I would say it still is. I had a Tiger 2 before the patch went into effect.

have not had this much fun in a tank ever, as i do in the new lights, i wait about 1-1.5 minutes after round starts then make a dash for arty. i'd say with that delayed arty rush and the quickness of the t50, i've been able to get to the arty and kill at least 1 of them 85% of the time

Be forewarned that getting the upgraded turret on the T29 will give up your facehugging abilities. The range finders on the sides have no armor and hits will do full damage. If you're playing against a good player, they will penetrate them even at longer ranges when you think you're hull down.

The T32 has no such weakness.

why get the upgraded turret anyway? I love shooting the rangefinders on the tank but it's a bit ridiculous how easy it is to hit those.

Besides the sides? Lower glacis and commander's copula on the turret. Never had an issue penetrating the lower glacis with the s-70.

They seem to give bonuses to the tanks that participated in the RL battles. So the T-34, Sherman variants, PzIV and Tiger get a lot of love.

My premium runs out in about 2 weeks. I'll probably buy another month after that, which will carry me just up to the release of Skyrim... once Skyrim hits, WoT won't see me for a while.

You know the T34 wouldn't be quite so bad if you could actually make little money with it. After 22 games in it and buy the track upgrade (including selling back the stock tracks) I've only gained about 20k credits since I started playing it. Less than 1000 per game on average. And this is WITH premium. Ridiculous.

Made about 1.5 million creds with the Type 59 tonight and then went played in my Tiger 2 for a while. Good fun night all round. Gonna try and grind the Tiger 2 this weekend.
