The dps for those derps is just monstrously high. Fought a m4 with my T-29 and barely walked away after I missed one single shot from a peek-a-boo match. He hit me 3-4 times for almost 1k damage, didn't bother aiming much either.

I'm skeptical wargaming knows how to "fix" anything. They just do whatever the fuck they want and call it a "fix" even if it's ass backwards. They'll probably just increase dispersion or reload time, increase prices or some stupid shit instead of fixing the ability for HEAT to one shot stuff. Too hard to fix actual game mechanics instead of twiddling around with "statistics" to make everything close to 50%.

I would guess they will increase credit cost of the round at worst for right now. Or maybe they wont do anything. Each game I play usually has 2-3 M4s across both teams at most. And of those 1-2 are running the derp. I am not sure if newer players even realize the potential. Or maybe they cant afford to run premium rounds.

I can definately see the potential for frustration with it from a vet player that knows how to use it. But rarely have I come across another M4 that does in the last 130 games. The ones running the Derp are ineffective with it while the rest are running the 76.

That was wargamings solution for the 183 HESH. They increased the cost of the round to 20 gold... Yeah, that will curb it.

If I see a lot of derps tanks on the enemy team, I hang a little more back and use the accuracy advantage in my favour.

I have been lucky then. Or eliminating the threat fast enough I dont notice it. I dont doubt for a second these people are tearing up these games. But my experience has been lucky.

It is a complete game changer. It really is like the Hesh 183. Might even be worse given the tier range and how many of the tanks I hit are 1 shot. Luckily the M4 derp has terrible dispersion and aiming time. And it has to be closed for it to be accurate. This morning I shot at an AMX40 from 30 feet away. The circle wasnt closed and it hit the ground lol.

Problem is the M4 has great mobility. They can close the distance very rapidly, and by the time you take them out 3-4 tanks on your side already went down. The rounds are cheap and you can make a profit flinging them full time if you have a premium account because of the ridiculous damage you do. Use them as a shotgun, fire and forget and if you miss... well, the next shot is only 6 seconds away.

It's gotten so bad that if they don't nerf it next patch, I will buy my m4 back and derp everything to hell. And I'm not generally one to replay tanks unless they're super special.

Yeah the arty problem needs to be addressed. I don't mind the damage they do when they hit...its arty, its supposed to hurt. But to have 5 raining down death on everything that moves is just plain dumb. It completely changes tactics and makes the game almost unplayable.

I've only got about 3100 battles even though my account creation date is very close to when the game first came out... I quit playing for like 7-8 months to play SWTOR and GW2 ...

Anyway... My biggest tanks are only Tier8 Pershing, and IS3... I also bought the Super P premium for crew training on those american mediums.

I love the Hetzer and M4 with the Derp and gold rounds... Its amazing to 1 shot everything when you are at top tier in match or 2 shots if they are a tier up from you.

I hate the big arties also... Arties are okay upto abuilt tier5 artys. The 6-8s are stupid. I like a lot of the tanks that get lumped in as scouts so I end up in big arty matches with my ELC or AMX12t or T21(very close to getting the T71)... And of course the T8's see the big arty regularly. On maps with open fields and very few buildings to use for cover the arty are way way overpowered... If you get a map like Himmelsdorf or Dragon Ridge where the arty have a lot of obstructions they are not so annoying.

I had an amazing match in my Tier7 IS the other day... Wish I had screen shotted it. Did like 5200 dmg, shot 9 diff tanks killed 6 of them.

I have some clan mates and we platoon up and all 3 run the same tanks like the M4 or KV1 or IS... 3 of any tank working together using voice comms can really effect the outcome of a match, And its really fun to get the "Crucial Contribution" medal

pimping out the T71. Man this little thing is hell on wheels. The reload time is JUST bearable (20~ seconds) in comparison to the 13-75 and the gun is WAAAAAY better than the 13-75, and to a degree its a bit better than 13-90s gun as well. The APCR rounds are amazingly fast and cover 300-400 meters in a second so you don't really have to lead targets much at all.

Feeling a lot of the better tanks are ending up in the american branch trees as of late. T110E4, T110E5, T71, T57 heavy.... long live russian bias lol.

T110E4 isn't all that scary or great anymore since the armor nerfs. It's really easy getting through that tank now. The E3 is still pretty decent though. I really love the T71 and the T57 Heavy on the test server. That shorter reload time over the French is great.

The biggest pain the butt with the American tanks is that stupidly large cupola on the turret. Any tank with decent accuracy has fun punching holes in it. Kinda frustrating when someone hits you 5 times in the same spot.

This weekend wasn't as fruitful as ones in the past (only like 70% w/r compared to 75%+). I did at least take advantage of the skill reset discount since I finally got my 4th crew skill on my object 704 and was able to respec my crew so I could get BiA. I shaved off .32 second on my reload, yay!

I'm still broke since the half off premium shells special a week earlier. At least I'm slowly rebuilding my credit reserves. I'll soon be broke again though since I'll be buying the tier 7 french TD and tier 7 chinese medium very soon. What I really need this weekend is another x3 crew training. Thats by far the most useful weekend bonus (besides half off premium rounds, which is a bonus until I run out of pre-bought shells).

I'm sure since 8.4 has already hit the Russian servers that we'll most likely see it this Thursday. I might as well just sell my tier 10 tanks to keep them from gettign one shotted by that dumb ass british TD.

The HESH is only bad if it gets behind you and hits some thin armor. Other than that it's less damage than AP armor. The only problem is it's consistent since you can't bounce HE stuff.

I played it on the test server. With 270ish pen on those rounds, you don't need a side/rear shot to get full damage. I one shotted an object 268 from the front, and an IS-7 from the side. Both from full health. Thats pretty dumb. Not to mention plenty of shots that penned and left tanks limping along with a few hundred hp left, both tracks broken, and at least 1-3 other broken components according to the after battle report. Even on a non-penetrating shot, it was 600+ damage and tracked and lord knows what else I messed up on those tanks.

Its something like a 23 sec reload with vents, rammer, bia. Thats not all that slow for the damage you can do. Its also got great frontal armor, and a damn turret (sure its +-45 degrees, but that better than nothing). Its also quite manueverable, nothing like the slow ass JPzE100.

No one is going to want to go around a corner with this thing there. At least tanks can take a hit from all the other TDs and survive, but one shotting medium tanks and other TDs is silly. Its just another nail in the coffin for my tier 10s, and probably most of my tier 9s.

You're probably broke since the shells were only half-off for gold prices; the credit prices stayed the same.

Also I'm staying away from tier 8-9 tanks when the patch hits. No desire to fight arty AND the british TD on the same map. Though I hear the tortise is stupid OP as well.

For some reason, when I platoon with my friend I lose all the time. He's not the best player but he's better than most on my team and I can yell instructions to him. I was was doing well about 10-1, then I platoon and boom, lose 15 in a row despite the fact that my platoon was doing really well.

WOT's wording of the shell sale from a couple of weekends ago implied it was gold only. However, in reality when the shells went 1/2 off gold, it directly reflected on the shell's silver credit price with 1 gold translating to 400 silver.
