Because of recent conversation I've bought back the 152. The last time I played it was before they added masteries, so I've been getting those.

One thing I forgot to mention: remove the speed governor whenever you're accelerating to make a break across an exposed section, or when you're about to be circled. Just don't forget you took it off.

My average damage is a bit low; back before the big HE change the 152 was a complete terror, now it seems to be balanced. But, I have already derped through the sides of several Tiger Ps and the rear of a 110, and I have gotten a bit of xp through damage to tracked targets. Sniping with it (at 400m+) is harder than I remembered, but still all I have to do is hit them somewhere and I hit at least 200 plus a good chance of crits.

In all, I am liking it, it is fun in its own derpy way even if it isn't OP. Also I only lose money when I miss a lot and lose, so I am definitely netting a positive.

i'm about 65k away from the object 268 now. it's been a long grind, i maybe had 15-20k xp on the 704 since i didn't play it to much when the 268 released.

on the M103, i'm up to 25k xp already, this grind is going pretty fast. and credits are coming on fast as well since i'm usually top 3 in damage dealt every match

best game i've had in the E100 so far, killed 4

Victory!
Battle: El Halluf Tuesday, August 06, 2013 7:24:36 AM
Vehicle: E-100
Experience received: 3,408 (x2)
Credits received: 116,996
Battle Achievements: Steel Wall, Sniper

no arty game obviously, i was able to get an is-3 and a ferdie to follow and listen to my instructions on hill, we took out 3 t-34's, an is-3, a t95, a jgpze100, and 2 tiger II's.
basically told them i'd take the hit, then they pop out and fire for the tanks, and for the 2 TD's, i'd take the hit and they flank/box them in after they fired. worked beautifully.

lots of 2-4000 damage dealt in losses. my play has improved, and my win rate suffers. it's like farting against an avalanche of retard.

Sensei (bows down) words of wisdom for sure.. and how i feel. I run the stats and I'm not a bad player (by stats) but sure wouldn't compare myslef to some of the good ones im more of that better then 50% of the people out there.. Keep a pretty constant 54% win ratio in Pubs, and when I did clans was in the 60% which does prove a good TEAM matters. I don't use alot of gold rounds and suffer from that.. Thwre are just some BAD tanks you have to suffer through..

but the "avalanche of retard" can be so frustrating.. you get on a map where scouts light up 3/4 of the enemy on one side of map, yet your team wont adjust.. to many sitting in snipe mode.. no shift of forces to repel that major force. Of course one can argue a heavy push on the weak side might work too, as you watch 5 of your heavies try hit 2 mediums in good cover and wont just bum rush um and kill um as the other side overpowers your 3 defenders to there 8 are ripping it up. I swear nobody watches the Mini map at all. I hate that so many are stuck on one type of game.. they cant adjust tactics at all. If your team shifts heavy one side, dont just "join um" and leave the other side open. My biggest bitch of all is the "spread um thin" method, cant support anybody as they are dead by the time you get to um.. Or the valley in Lakeville, hold center and valley and push in town.. MY team crests valley so anything below um can pick um apart every time.. push and lose half of our force to 3 defenders on their side...

but with all the frustration, i still play every day.. and bitch here from time to time about something that will never change.

If you have good stats, the best way to improve your W/R is to platoon with other good people (most important part: OTHER GOOD PEOPLE). One or two extra good people on your team instead of a 46%er can make a world of difference.

On another note, I'm convinced 95% of players play fully zoomed in all the time(you do get a better frame rate, and a lot of people with shitty computer play WoT). This is why they are oblivious to thier surroundings and run into stuff. Plus they all probably play on 15in monitors where the minimap takes up too much realestate, so they turn that off also.

I think I'm done with WoT, probably for good this time. Bought a TOGII a few weeks ago for lulz, converted free XP to get the last gun on the E-50 to see if it got more fun, but I'm just not feeling it.

E-50 has its ups and downs. I actually just had a really good sniping game yesterday thanks to 2 fearless pershings lighting up the whole entire side of the map.... by which I mean they hid behind a rock and the whole entire enemy team swarmed them 1 by 1, which let me and the jagd tiger rack up a total of 9 kills and 12k damage between the 2 of us.

But the whole entire german line plays fairly similar. Nothing changes from panther to E-50, except E-50 has good armor and can ram things. If you haven't tried other lines, you'll find the playstyles are vastly different from the TDs to the mediums to the heavies.

TOG2 I play occasionally for the lulz. But its one of my least favorite tanks; I hate really slow tanks in general. (is also the reason why I keep hesitating to buy the T-28 proto and haven't progressed in the AT-2 much)

When I get tired of the more serious side of the game I either go back to t4, start derping, or play something else.

I know I made someone hate their tog yesterday. I derped my 152 straight through the side of his turret, damaging the turret ring and killing all his crew except one loader and the driver. Serves him right for charging straight in as bottom tier, I guess.

I must say, after playing with the 122 on the Su-100 almost exclusively, I switched back to the 100mm and I'm having a much better time with it.

It has the exact same penetration, and its reload time is basically half the 122, so its DPS evens out. Its increased accuracy, and the fact that MM pairs the Su-100 with weaker tier tanks alot make it so that you can pump shots out all day long.

Yesterday I stopped a 5 tank push of tier 5's all by myself because I just kept firing my gun as fast as possible. Also the shells are a 1/5 of the price, so I don't cry a little inside when I bounce off a tier 4.

The E-50, alot like the T-54, is one of those tanks that greatly benifits from the use of premium. You go from 220pen to 270pen, and its APCR and not HEAT so don't have to worry about "bouncing" if you hit the tracks. 220 pen just doesn't really cut it when playing against tier 10s and can be rough against tier 9 heavies.

I really hated the E-50 when I first got it. I was used to the T-54, and the E-50 really isn't anything like the T-54. Its not really a brawler like the 54, as it lacks the agility, and is better often used more in a faster relocating sniper role. It also makes a great rammer, and thats why people like playing the E-50. For some reason its very satisfying to kill another tank by ramming it (those poor french tanks).

Crew skills also really matter on the E-50. Camo, sixth sense, clutch braking, and controlled impact are a must.

Had a horrible night of losing last night. Battled back to 50%, ending with a mighty 54 damage game win in my E100. The best part, I still got second EXP on our team because I had 7k spotting damage. I was super/uber/duper tracked the whole game but our team used me like a 5 dollar hooker. A T57 tried to flank me and got obliterated by the team. A 103 tried to snipe me and paid the price. An IS4 stayed a bit too long reloading and died. My 54 damage was a kill shot on a T30 that was hiding in the magic forest.

So I played this back in Beta (don't even remember how long ago that was). I wanted to give this a shot but was wondering if there is an AT community that plays together. I think the biggest reason I stopped playing was because I was always solo and I don't really want to jump in if I will end up playing solo all the time again.

i say this almost nightly after a match of "full retard" teamates.. PUBS can be brutal. I also notice as you climb tiers (im on my second time maxing all tanks, quite a few new ones since i did it, heck we have new nations now!) the better players stick it out.. hence when you are getting a GOOD tier 7 tank.. you are often in with much better tanks , tier and player skill level. I noticed restarting on a new account my kill ratio was way higher the second time around.. i was averaging 3 kills a match till i hit about tier 5.. since im at 1.5.. the higher you go the better the players.. and tanks.. Second playthrouhg from scrath has made the game quite fun.. I hated the LEE first time through, but now.. its got an OK gun, speed and so so Armour.. its real weakness is no turret, but its matched with stuff it can pen almost all the time.. so skill start factoring in majorly.. ok gun.. can damage most any tank its in a match with (not always) makes a OK player feel good.. instead of the higher tire match where you cant pen anything unless its got a weak spot to ya.. Im hitting Tier 8 now.. and.. that "fook this game" is getting strong. But i keep playing nightly almost..

Not really. We used to have a chat channel but it seems unused.

Kinda what I figured. Does anybody care to share a community/channel of other people to play with before I go full retard and try playing with some goons? (not looking to get into clan wars just yet or anything)

Last time I got burned out on the game Clan Wars was indeed the culprit. This time I think I'm just sick of it. Sucks because I have about 7k gold left, but eh, whateva.

Edit: Doesn't really help that I have been mostly playing german tanks lately. Seems like they are the bastard stepchildren of WoT.

There are some true gems of the german lines. The Tiger P is great. The E75 is trollish. The E100 is AMAZING.

Every line has some dogs, but the trick is to find the good tanks and never look back.

The germans do have some good ones, like the Tiger P, the JP1 and JP2, or the GWP. But they also have a ton of really mediocre vehicles that are ruined by trash soft stats. In fact, almost all of their mediums fall into that category. Their dispersion is junk, their module hitboxes are huge and weak, their armor is only in a six inch band in the middle of the front, their depression is weak, they bleed speed in corners, and so on. A lot of them can still be fun, but german stuff never really is as-advertised. Plus it seems like WG sneaks in more soft stat nerfs every other patch.

i think i'm done with the brit med line, the cromwell was ok and pretty zippy but everything before and after sucks. comet, centurions, ugh, waste of time. the tier X has broken armor and doesn't appear wargaming is going to bother to fix it.

going to go down the foch155 and t57 line now.

I absolutely loved the old VK3002DB (no idea how the current VK3002(D) is). The Panther II I never liked all that much but I did fantastic with it. The E50 though is just meh.

I did say almost all. I actually like the 3001p. The alpha is good for a t6 medium and the turret gets some bounces, but the vehicle isn't any slower than other t6 meds. I haven't driven a 3002d, but I did one-shot one with my su152 this morning, I penetrated his side and burned him for the remaining 5-600hp... not exactly the glowing recommendation you wanted is it?

The A. Panther is basically a medium as well and I... sortof like it. If it got t7 medium matchmaking I would probably say it is a fun keeper; as it is I play it when I feel like it but I'm not rushing for the Indien. I am cautiously optimistic about the Indien, though. A lot of people hate it, but it looks like a fun marksman's tank.

I also found the pz 3/4 to be pretty fun, but it felt a lot more like a solid light tank than it felt like a medium. I could recommend it to someone that wants the "light tank experience" without having to put up with garbage light tank matchmaking.
