Between the female crews and this 'winter special' giving US, French and Soviet crews, we seem to be getting a lot of crews.

I'd prefer a cap. If you increase the price, this just gives a greater advantage to the wallet warriors. Instead, do something like make Gold Ammo 20% maximum of your vehicles ammo, though this might need a by vehicle analysis. This way, you have to think about when to shoot gold instead of just spamming it.

the problem, as i see it, with gold ammo, is mediums just shoot it to pen heavies frontally or even well armored tds. They don't have to try to flank them, which is ridiculous at best. I said it long ago, speed and firepower > armor and health points.

mediums and especially lights, should never be able to pen heavies or tds frontally when the laters are 1 or 2 tier higher. Med and lights have speed and maneuverability for a reason, they can't have everything going for them....

look at the pershing gold round...meh. it goes from 180 pen to 268 pen, ridiculously op. Gold round whether they are heat or apcr, should have a little pen increase, (maybe 20% max) not 25-40%, even more in the case of the pershing...

For example, that tier VIII Pershing with gold round got more pen than the vast majority of tier X heavies with regular AP, lol

You will never be good at playing a medium if you're just spamming gold at the front of tanks, lets put it that way. I don't see this as a problem because its almost always more effective for a medium to flank, regardless of how op the gold rounds are. Being subject to less normalization (and HEAT/HESH get eaten up by spaced armor very easily) its still better to flank than to blindly shoot at the front of tanks. It's more of a problem for same tier heavy/medium/TDs, but if I'm a pershing fighting an E-100 you bet i'm going to sling some gold to try to get some damage in before I get rolled over.

I agree...gold rounds just let light and medium tanks, damn even heavy and tds, just sit there and plant gold rounds into anyone knowing that they are going to do damage regardless. Without gold rounds you have to hit certain areas, get a flank, maneuver, actual work. Gold rounds just seem stupid, this is like having a F2P fps game and making gold ammo that does more damage, it makes no sense.

How does the new female crews determine nation? Is it fixed? I finished TD missions and have a crew reward waiting, but started to claim it, it was US, and I realized I have no idea what tank to train her for so cancelled the reward for later. I don't know if I get it again if it's random or fixed, or how we get complete crews for a nation since you need all female crews in the tank to get the BiA-like skill.

For me it had a drop down menu to choose nation.

How's everyone doing on missions? I have completed TD and Heavy Tanks. Lights is on 13 and Mediums on 14. Might have the Stug tonight. Though, what I'm really looking forward to is the 4th female crew. Putting them in my brand new STA-1. Then I can start working towards the STB-1, where the female crew will eventually end up.

Overall, it's going okay.

On my light tank, I need a arty platoon to continue on - LT-11
I forget what my medium is at, destroy arty or 2 meds - M-T8?
TD at destroy enemy with no damage taken - TD-7
Heavy have to ram kill. PITA mission really.
SPG - Be top 3 damage dealer SPG-12.

Overall, not too impressed with certain missions. Create fire, ram kill (worse one so far), 2nd worse one so far was the SPG-11. Hit 2 with 1 shot. I completed this two days ago, it was due to either, killing an enemy tank, E-25 that was charging a friendly SPG and I killed both. Or, T-29 and KV-5 both enemies, splash damage did damage to a T-29 but the KV-5 next to him was 0 but did track damage but didn't "track him". Bug?

Looking at the rest, for that SPG-11 line is:
(2) deal damage to 3 enemy vehicles in one shot
(3) destroy enemy tank while dealing damage to two more with the same shot
(4) destroy 2 enemy tanks with one shot.

Seems a bit ridiculous of a requirement. I've only done #4 once and by accident, never have done #3. Just seems you need a big gun, 203mm Russian or high tier German and American.

Then there are some great ones, LT-10 mission:
(1)cause 1000 spotting damage (use camo net and have visual camo on your tank)
(2)cause 2000 spotting damage (survive)
(3)cause 3000 spotting damage (survive)
(4)cause 4000 spotting damage (win,survive)

I've done #4 before, RU-251 on tier 10 match, parked in bush in Prokhorovka, sat there for most of the game, until 3 enemy tanks were left and 2 of their arty.

It might be easier to do them if you could choose the maps to play instead of randomly hoping for a Prokhorovka map with 3 artillery on your side. Or better, if one game you had 3.1k spotting damage, you automatically completed #1-3. Otherwise, I might not shoot my artillery shot at the 1 tank easy tank and instead wait for 2 or 3 to sit next together that may never happen. Which I have done already, since then, I just started playing like I use to. I've stopped making an effort to complete them, if it happens, it happens.

I've moved my efforts to the Winter 8-bit games. Playing the Mammoth as much as possible, since I'm headed towards the T110E5, I'll have a crew for it when. Who would pass up 25k crew xp and 250k credits? Then repeat that 4 more times. 125k crew xp and 1.25M credits.

You can buy "gold rounds" with credits instead, really making it a "premium round" instead. You'll lose money every match if you use it 100% of the time but might make a grind through a tank easier. More damage = more xp, more kills = more xp. Win at match and well, less playing a "meh" tank and get to the next one.

Maybe weak spots are PITA to shoot at? Hitting that tiny MG port on JagTiger E100 is no easy feat, load up premium round and shoot superstructure instead.

I don't think a pershing can pen the E-100 easily with even slight angling, that's the point. I mean, gold rounds bounce a lot regardless of what the soft paper stats say thanks to the lack of normalization. It also turns some straight up bullying into a more even fight so you're not just a free kill in a +2 tier game.

If you think the Pershing can't easily pen the E-100 with 268 pen, imagine the rest of the Tier X heavies who have less pen than that...

Remember, we are talking about a MEDIUM tank, TWO tier lower, with more penetration than the said E-100 (with regular AP) (T110e5 & IS4 258pen etc.)

And if a Pershing is fighting a Tier 10 head to head, of course it should be bullied away and punished to death, without the possibly of doing any damages. Like i said, it should flank, or hide and come out later with better timing, you know, actual thinking and maneuvers.

i.e. pressing 2 and firing on the front of heavies and tds isn't thinking and maneuvers. That's how WarGaming sees it tho, so i understand of course why people do it.

THis game is dope. All my friends play it and I just can't get them out for beer or whatever. I tried with some chicks, but it didn't work too. :X

Do what i do and bring the beer to them!One of my buddies and me often times go a bit over board and buy like a 30 pack and see who can game till we have piss aim and fall off the chair.:awe: IDK how but a few days ago i downed a 12 pack of Rolling Rock like no ones business and well i will say i regret doing that.:awe:

Like a little Lan if you want to call it that but with beer!I hate my tower cause the thing is just a heavy sob to bring over. Beer weighs less!

No doritoes and energy drinks at my Lan,gtfo with that.:sneaky:

Just got a hold of the T71, I feel like I may be the only person that prefers the stock gun over the upgraded one. Id rather have a faster reload than more pen. If I flank, I can pretty much pen any tank and the faster reload helps way more.

Finally got my IS-3 tonight and its going to be tough to get used to the cost of running this,t34-3 is a bit more nicer to me but its premium tier 8.

IS-3 is pretty fun,grinding for my turret and BL9 122MM.Gonna be fun finally getting rid of this d-25t 122mm.Been running this gun for what seems like Ions honestly.

Yay! With weekend bonus stuff, extra xp, 1,000 and 1,500, stackable! I finally, FINALLY, finished the Obj. 704 TD. 301,000 xp; highest in game I believe.

Funny, won't be buying the Obj. 268, I'll wait for a 10% sale. Obj. 140 medium tank also need to be purchased on sale.

Now for the Obj. 263....
Perhaps I'll grind my other tanks out more before starting a new line.

Ohhh... not to far from tier 10 Patton too. 14k or so left. <----------- Now completed!!! 12k to get 90mm worthless gun, then it'll be elite tank.

T69 now completed!!! Not a keeper tank for me. It's not terrible but doesn't feel awesome in my hands.

and getting the obj263

but since we get an extra 1k xp with 1 kill or 1500xp with 3 kills, it's going up pretty quick

Got my batchat finally. But I've stopped doing missions for each line when I get to 15 because I haven't decided what nation to get the crew for yet.

I'm making the best use out of that bonus stuff. Completed T69 today, 34k XP or so and now working on T95. Down to 24k XP from 45k'ish XP. I'll have T95 done this weekend. Not a keeper for me sadly. 49% winrate on it but I'm a front line attacer not a camper in it.

I've "only" bought 2 tanks in this game. T-34 and E-25. I got JgTig8.8cm for for free by buying an Intel i5. I also forked over a premium account too. But I've done the MMO before, $14.99/month. For whatever reason, I'm actually addicted to this game.

That hasn't happened since Counter Strike: Source but that only lasted 3 months, get tired for 2-3 months, back again, rinse and repeat. Star Wars Galaxies, was fun and WoW too but short lived overall. 9 months for SWG, 3 for WoW.

This game has been going on since March for me.

I have NOT bought any other game since playing this. So, maybe my wallet does thank me.
