So i guess i tend to favor heavier armor. What other tanks sub tier 6 should I look at?

H35. Had a Pz I c unload a clip into me today, 0 dam. so much fun to walk through autocannons or side scrape in a tier 2 tank

T-150

Maybe go for the AT 2? I'll buy a Pz 38 H if they ever come avail

KV-1S is also good, though it's armor isn't super stellar. But it's more mobile. And it puts you on track for the rest of that line where all the tanks range from good to great (yes, even the IS-8). I'd recommend that next (as well as continuing to the T29, which is the best Tier VII heavy in the game)

AT-2 is troll against players who don't know where to shoot it, but it is kinda immobile and not very flexible.

I have a hard time recommending too many things low tier since I like the game a lot better Tier VI and above (mostly Tier VIII and above really).

So bottom line: Go for KV-1S, and continue going for the T29.

Whatever you do... save up free exp so you do not have the useless 76mm at tier 7. Have enough exp so you can mount at least the 90mm.

world of warships is ok, it is pretty polished but i just don't see how it's fun as the pace is super slow obviously. the graphics are pretty nice. i've played in both test weekends and i'm not sure if it will be something i'll invest much time in.

If you like ww2 battleships it'll be right up your alley. It's not that slow paced but it's definitely slower compared to tanks. I don't know how i feel about it just yet since the game needs a lot of tuning but it has potential.

Yup. I still need to upload a couple photos I took and figure out where the official photos/videos were posted.

The travel was painful. Almost 40 hours to get there (3 hours at airport + 16 hour flight + 6 hours at airport + 3 hour flight + 6 hours at airport + 3 hour bus ride). Coming back was worse, my flight got delayed for 2 days in Hong Kong due to the snow storm in NYC.

The tournament itself was alright. There were a total of 16 teams. 12 from China, Navi from RU, GGWP from EU, Arete from Korea/Asia, and RUllete from US (the team I was on). The later 4 teams all won 1st in their respected regions last season.

The matches were broken up by bracket, 4 brackets of 4 teams the first day, with each team playing 1 map vs each other. If you're seeding a tournament, the correct way is to put the top teams into different brackets. Unfortunately, this concept was too foreign to the Chinese company organizing the tournament. Our bracket ended up being vs 2 Chinese teams and GGWP. We only lost vs GGWP but that knocked us out of the tournament on the first day. They ended up either 2nd or 3rd place overall. We placed 9th by points, Navi won 1st (as everyone expected).

The rest of the time we spent shopping, going out to eat, exploring the city and watching a few of the other teams play. It was an awesome experience meeting and hanging out with everyone on the team. I'm definitely glad I went.

Also played during the test weekend and completely agree. I don't see this game being fun. It will probably end up like planes.

I have bought gold, once in the past; I also run a premium account. As always, I'll take whatever I can get and be happy about it. A few here and there add up, I haven't been playing long but up to 1900 free gold that I can think of.

Two ace tanker awards in 30 minutes of play. I should stop now, right? This never happens.

First was in a Ferdi in a tier 10 battle. I somehow managed to get top damage...in a tier 8. People were just lining up and sitting still for me. Amazing. I'm really not crazy about the Ferdi either. Next was in a tier 7 battle in a (complete POS) M5A1 Stuart, where I got the highest XP on our (winning) team.

This helps to make up for the incredibly bad losing streak I recently had where every day I was sub-40% win rate in pubbies. I was convinced that somebody at WG was mad at me.

This last light tank mission to get my stug is being difficult. 11 missions in my RU so far and closest I've gotten is 2k damage (need 4k spotting). It's so random whether you even get a good spotting map as well. Basically, I need a good spotting map, no other spotting tanks on my team, and a decent enough team to take advantage of spots.

Drivers of heavy tanks are the clever ones how scouts needs to drive their tanks. But when they try, they choke on ONLY 4k spotting damage lol.

I finally got it, but thanks for the offer. We should platoon again some time though.

About 20 games or so to do it. Basically it took the right map (Fiery Salient) and right team set up (I was the only light, so no one else was stealing my spotting). Got 5k spotting.

Got my stug but I haven't actually played it yet. Wasn't really that interested in the vehicle to be honest, though I suppose I'll take it out at some point. I was most interested in getting my 4th girl crew for my STA-1. Took that out for a spin a few times. I like it a lot! This will be a fun grind with the girl crew from the STA-1 to the STB-1 I think (where they'll eventually end up).

Are there less morons in the highest tiers? If not i may just give up on this game. I'm so sick of everyone going the same direction leaving me to cover an entire flank. Or a heavy camping at our flag, or a scout too chicken to do his job and hiding in a corner of the map.

I cut people slack if i'm in a low tier and xvm says they have 0k games or no games, but if you are in a tier 5,6 or 7 tank, i expect you to know how the games works and how to play

nope, same morons @ high tiers as it only takes time, not skill to get to tier X. you can fail your way to the top.

i've stopped trying to stop flanks by myself, i just head with the lemming train to try and win that flank as quickly as possible, then cap or head back to try and defend.

don't try to stop flanks yourself, it's just giving the other team free exp. Lead the lemming charge and make sure they don't stall on silly things.

Yeah, I agree with the "don't solo your teams flank". Sometimes, your team just needs you to break that "stalemate" where the lemming train went. You know the two enemy tanks holding back 10 of yours.

I haven't played the new Stug either, just watching QB play it made me go, "Meh." Plus no credit benefits of premium tank, even less of a reason to play it. Selling it is about 0.5M credits though.

Thats why its referred to as a lemming train, they are mindless.

I used to always be that lone guy defending a flank, doing a lot of damage before going down, but its inevitable. I've learnt if the team lemmings, go and push for them.

After 16k games, I've found most people in pub games are mindless and just follow the pack. I've seen 2 TDs hold off a pack of 12 or more while their team flanks evryone else.

I gave up on trying to be the one playing smart and let the others decide my fate.
