I am in no way trying to attack or passing judgement on anyone's purchasing choices. Remember when the latest and greates PC game would cost $50 or more? ... and people complained that games were getting too expensive? Now we are talking about spending $70 on a digital representation of a single ship within a game.

Another reason to spend money on digital stuff, it supports the game. As you would know, no income, no development, no game.

If enough people are buying it out there to make it more worthwhile than charging for less then they aren't foolish for selling it at that price.

I think I just played a BB for my last time, nothing like doing 1k damage in a salvo of 6 guns and waiting 30s to reload.

So I got rid of it, tried the Japan CV, first one and my fighters got their butts handed to them... twice. I don't think that game play will suit me too, AC and DD seem to be where it's at for me.

Tirpitz is expensive, crazy so, costing more than AAA titles.

But there's lots out there who have disposable incomes.

If they price Tirpitz lower (imagine $25), every game would be full of them. It's already bad enough each game has 4-5 on each side.

What tier BB? Low tier BB's are terribad. I started having fun with BB's at Tier VI.

And this is really fun

Also, Japanese CV's have bad fighters against American CV's. They are all about the swarm.

I had the New York (tier 5) and the Myogi (tier 4).

I tried the Japanese CV (tier 4) Hosho. Those pilots must not like me, I send them off to their deaths.

Though, I think the tier 5? 6? CV would have better fighters when going against American carriers, not sure, just guessing due to timelines that Japan had better aircraft at one point of the war then switching to American in later part.

For the fighters, just click on a target for them (enemy fighers) and done right?

I just feel more involved with CA and DDs.

New York is "ok". However, don't write off BB's until Tier VI. The New Mexico is a great BB. So if you don't like that, then you know for sure you just don't like BB play.

Problem with Japanese fighters if they come in groups of 4, whereas USN comes in groups of 6. So one group vs. one group they will typically die, if equal tier. You have to swarm everything.

Have you guys ever received the detonation award? Never heard of it until last night. My 85% New York took a single torp and insta died. Kind of a funny award in that we can only receive it once per battle. Can we even survive a detonation of a magazine? It split my New York clean in half.

It totally sucked because it turned the battle imo. I was fighting a Kongo + Cleveland+invisible DD. Worked the kongo down to about 2/3rds health and had a rare double citadel broadside to a Cleveland which earned me a devastating strike. Took him from 100-sunk in a single volley. Then I died and our team melted away.

Wouldn't bother me, but that just seems weird. A whole line of Polish DDs? Like someone else said, maybe it's just a premium DD.

First volley one shot a full health Cleveland! Next volley nearly kills his Cleveland friend. Got him on the 3rd volley. 3 Volleys, two dead Clevelands.

First volley one shot a full health Cleveland! Next volley nearly kills his Cleveland friend. Got him on the 3rd volley. 3 Volleys, two dead Clevelands.

Yeah New Mexico is a beast. A lot of people give up on Battleships before the New Mexico because they are pretty sub par, and so don't get to experience what a good BB is like. You've now gotten to that level

The Colorado at Tier VII is bad again, but the North Carolina is a Beast and the Iowa (what I'm currently on) is also a Best.

The thing that is nice about the new mexico is the 6 rear and forward facing guns. It allows a captain to keep his nose forward and still deliver decent firepower. Been tanking pretty good using this strategy. One night took on a NC, Tirpitz, and Fuso while my CAs and tirpitz teammates decimated them.

Just a heads up the Russian Destroyers and German Cruisers are live. Includes a free port slot for each. I played a little of each last night, good fun.

Early tier German Cruisers have weak guns but the ability to rain almost constant fire upon your enemies is glorious.
