I played on Rallos Zek EQ1, and it had item loot (only 1 item), and it actually had less ganking in it than Age of Conan with no item loot.

The reason: People who gank have something to lose if they die in an attack. On Rallos, what would happen is you'd have a bunch of naked wizards running around with no gear trying to gank. If you wore gear, you were twice as tough as them. And not only that is if you see a lvl 50 naked hiding behind a tree, you know damn well to just kill the guy before he attacked you when you were fighting a mob.

The only time it was a pain in the ass if at a wizard/druid port in location with 6 naked wizards waiting for people to port in... Then you'd get nuked heavily and probably die and they'd lose nothing. But that was fun because you'd port in at a different location wtih your friends, then sneak up on them and obliterate the group.

Item loot actually helps against ganking. Rallos PVP was actually pretty fun.

Ahhh those were the days, I had a monk on Rallos Zek. Monks were the best because you truely had nothing to loose in PVP, infact I used to taunt people about it.

Since they sold more copies of the game on Monday and Tuesday the game is starting to break, before Tuesday i never had to wait in Queue to get into the game, now it's a good 1 hour wait to log in, when logged in the lag spikes make it so that the only thing i can do is gather/craft. We had a raid on our town that was ok, 20 v 30 , lots of action.

Please give us an updated once or twice next week, I really want ti try DF with some friends but none of them have been able to purchase it. I have to say 60 mins to log in is a real deal breaker, I do not have a ton of free time to mess with something like that.

2 hours to log in right now, the q sucks....pings are back to normal now

Why 2 hours to log in? Didn't they say they can have 10,000 per server? Are all the servers they have at the max? When you log in does it seem like there are many players playing? Or does it seem the server is capped at a much lower number like 1,000?

We had some people waiting in Q for over 6 hours on the weekend. They definitely broke something with their last set of accounts they sold, we had about 10 people in game and 25 in q while our town was being attacked, that sucked, they killed our bank. I just heard that they took the siege hammers out of the game (that's what killed the bank) not sure why they did that.

They made some excellent changes with the last patch, harvesting nodes are now on global cool down , what this basicly means is nodes only have x amount of resources every 3 or so hours, before the nodes where instanced so if 1 person gathered all the ore, another would be able to go to that node and harvest until his share was gone. This is encouraging people to leave the safety of the guild cities, leading to more harveters being vulnerable to ganking. Q's seem to be a bit better, was in after 30 minutes in q last night.

/resource prices have almost doubled now due to global cool down on harvesting nodes

Patch Notes:

In today?s patch we introduce the first step of our ongoing commitment to improving the Darkfall PvE and solo/small group experience. We?ve added new low level spawns and updated many existing spawns to be more suited for solo players or small groups. These spawns are primarily located on the sub-continents and on the various small islands surrounding the mainland of Agon. This placement should make it easier to find secluded spots to hunt at.

This will enhance the following dynamics in Darkfall:

- More secluded spawns you can handle alone or with a friend
- More opportunities for solo players or small groups to make gold
- More readily available reagents for spell-casting
- As smaller groups become more viable, small scale PvP frequency will increase significantly.
- More purchasing power for individual players means a significant boost for the crafted items market

While we continue improving the solo to small group experience, our next PvE balancing priority is to improve things for larger groups.

Corrections

* There have been several bug fixes to the world-building
* Skill Gain in all Crafting Mastery Skills has been increased.
* Clan Guard Towers have been fixed
* Bug fix to the rare situation where you had problems hitting a player using a cannon
* A challenger in a non-asset holding clan vs. city / hamlet conquest will now always be rogue for the duration of the siege.
* Clan lightning cannon reach has been tripled
* Most clan cannons deal more damage to players now
* Armor durability damage while in combat has been decreased by 30%

Features

* Auto Harvesting Enabled. Simply stand in front of the resource node and click the left mouse button. Your character will continue to harvest from the node until the node is depleted, character runs out of stamina, or is interrupted.
* A hotkey can now be assigned to each slot in the hotbar. Go to options > Input bindings to set them.

Yes and No , they are only opening up online sales every couple of days, it does not appear to be open this week. You can check here Darkfall News

The client is aproximattly 9gb's to download and you do get a free month.

Watched a friend play DF today, I shall be trying to play it as soon as they allow more sales. The graphics looked much better then what I saw in youtube videos.

i registered and activated my account... when I put all my billing info in it said it was "temporarily sold out"... is this for the physical copy? Is it available for download somewhere?
