I played a bit, I don't think the graphics are much like WoW. WoW is built on super low poly counts but high contrast, saturated colors. Wildstar reminds me more of a Cartoon Network/Adult Swim style. There were a lot of highly detailed environments.
Larnz, I can see what you mean with the telegraph system, but I think you are looking at it the wrong way. In WoW, every now and then an AOE or environmental event would happen and you'd need to avoid it. However, in Wildstar every attack has an area of effect which can be avoided. This requires a preemptive system instead of a reactive system like WoW's. That is key. WoW is reactionary where you need to avoid it once it happens, but Wildstar requires you to react before it happens.
I played for about a hour and thought it was fun. I can't say anything specific, but the game is much more interesting than most of the MMO's I've tested lately.
