you dont run the ball up the middle when you're ahead, especially against the bears. run off tackle for starters.

plus on that last drive for the field goal......the whole world knew they were running up the middle on 3rd and 1. throw a short slant get the first down, if its incomplete big deal clock is stopped and ur still kicking a 40 yard field goal.

How many times did the Bears stuff these kids, All those Az turnovers on the end were gifts also right.
Unless your from Chicago, watched the game the whole way, and i dont mean having the sci fi channel on jump, then dont make retarded comments about the game.
THe Bears looked like ****** but they pulled out the W

So you think that Trent Dilfer is a great QB?

Dilfer was very smart and very efficient. He wasn't explosive but he was good at taking what the defense gave him and not turning the all over.

I lived in Chicagoland, and will cheer for the Bears when I'm watching, but Im a steeler fan...

As for the bears this year... last nights game was pitiful on offense, but what quarterback doesnt have a game where he keeps missing? I think he missed a few big touchdown passes and then just lost his game.

You don't outscore the entire league in the first 5 games purely on luck... I doubt the bears will run undefeated, and I doubt they will win the superbowl, but calling their progress up to now "luck" is laughable.

The cards stripped the ball twice, and had 4 interceptions and managed 13 points.
The bears stripped the ball twice, and managed 14 points.

The Bears were caught flat footed in the first quarter, all of their coverage was blown/burnt, and they had expected to walk into the stadium and have the game handed to them...after the first quarter they realized this was a real game, and held the cards to 3 field goals, despite the many turnovers by the offense.

I do think it is funny that everyone keeps mentioning 6 turnovers (including myself) when the one interception was pointless since it was going to be given over on downs anyway.

Wow... just wow.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why the Bears are the best team in professional sports over the last 50 years.

That win had nothing to do with the bears being good. It had everything to do with the Cards being the Cards. The Bears didn't win anything. The Cards lost it.

LOL, best professional sports team in the last 50 yrs? AHAHAHAHAHA

yeap the bears started to beleive the hype. they thought it was going to be an easy game. after the first guarter they started to come alive. After the first half they were pissed off.

Arizona should have had far more points with 6 (yeah i agree one shouldnt count) turnovers. but also they droped at least 2 that should have been caught.

I agree they will not go undeafeted. but it depends on if rex stays healthy and can get his crap together. they do have a good shot at the superbowl. but rex really needs to stop trying to get a TD on every pass. last night was embarasing with how he played.

either way im excited. its good to see at least one Chicago team doing well!

It's funny reading this thread. The Bears has one bad game and some of you are already counting them out. They are a real team this year. Make no mistake about it. Give them an extra week rest and they'll come back to their usual self.

I'm a Seahawks fan myself. Would I count them out after their one abysmal game against the Bears? Absolutely not. Every team has their bad day(s). The Bears are no different.

The Cardinals should have won that game. I was at such a disbelief at the end. The guys watching with me were all dumbfounded. If this doesn't prove the Cards are the biggest choke in sports, I don't know what will.

It's going to be interesting in the latter part of the season. NE Patriots are showing life again. Both the Mannings are proving they are to be recon with. The Saints are coming out of nowhere to become a serious contender.

cardinals should of won that game they deserved it they were playing great but as always they have to ****** it up. 3 main mistakes I can name

1: lianart fumbles ball defense forgets to cover right side?
2: fumbel trying running ( delaying time FTW )
3: a receiver catches kicked ball and gets a touchdown

than to top it off there ****** kicker he's lost the game twice for them both were in kicking range and should of been good.

lianart is probably the best quaterback in the league he's played two pro games he's a rookie and he is a winner. the reason he didn't want to be first pick and ended up being 10th because it didn't want to be on a bad team. the cardinals are great no matter what any of you say lets keep in mind it was 24-23 against the best team in the league.

Yeah..wow..a lot of posts in this thread.

Anyways, I watched pretty much the whole game.

What I think is truly sad, is that the Cardinal's defense probably played the best game they'll have this entire season yet they still get the L.

No, with that many turnovers and such an inept offense they were VERY VERY VERY lucky to have played them within 2 TDs. To win simply baffles the mind.

Seriously. 6 turnovers, no offensive TDs and you WIN?!?!? If that's not luck, I don't know what is.

yea, it's called defense.

I felt bad that AZ lost this game but seeing as my roomate is from Chicago and we were sitting on the couch yelling and screaming for the last 10 minutes of the game I couldn't help but lmao at AZ for losing. That was one of the best games I've ever seen.

You owe me for the mouthful of water i spit out.

As a Bears fan this was the best possible scenario. Getting embarrassed on national tv, but still getting the win. This way, the Bears can keep the chip on their shoulder for quite a while without having to actually get a L. Everybody writing them off because the QB had one bad game knows nothing about football. What was the Steeler's record last year? Obviously being perfect has nothing to do with winning Super Bowls.
