I haven't seen KA, but I've heard that it is a little lackluster compared to the others.

Have you seen Mystere, O, LOVE?

haven't seen any cirque show

I actually heard Ka was the best, go figure.

Seriously? Usually Ka is listed as the worst. Go figure.

I've seen all of the Vegas Cirque shows except for Ka, and while they are all great, Love is by far my favorite.

Thanks, must've been awhile since I read. This thing is still in planning stages; I just know I want to go to a Cirque show, doesn't really matter which one.

Don't do Mystere, too little kiddy.

KT

Here's how I would rank the ones I've seen:
Love (10+/10)
Mystere (9.5/10)
O (9/10)
Zumanity (7/10)

I've only seen O & Mystere. They were both very good, but I found O to be a bit more adult than Mystere.

Nice hotel, but IMO the Venetian is better. Thats just me though.

Venetian's also on my list. Bellagio is a bit cheaper.

Priceline on Venetian = win

I got Venetian for like $80/night through priceline back in May.

Thanks

I did a price comparison so far

4 nights, total price

Grade (lowest to highest, from worst room to best room)
1 1042 716 796 716
2 1260 836 976 876
3 1434 916 936 956
4 2070 996 1096 1036

wynn bellagio venetian Planet Hollywood

The comparison between bellagio rates and PH were the most interesting to me.

Agreed - O has a darker atmosphere than Mystere. I thought both shows were equally enjoyable, but since Mystere was my first Cirque ever it is kind of special.

Give me a shout when it gets closer.

If I am in town, I may be able drop by to say hello.

Bellagio is on the top of my list right now. Anybody got any comments?

It should be noted that I don't plan on gambling while I'm at Vegas. Maybe some limit poker, but that's it.

It'll be me and the gf, our 3rd anniversary no less

On the list of things to do:

NIN concert =D
Cirque Du Soleil - KA
FOOD (not buffets)
Outlet shopping
MAYBE some other touristy stuff
Sex. Lots.

outlet shopping in Vegas kinda sucks, as it is usually equally priced or very slightly cheaper than the regular stores.

With the Wynn being the newest; have you looked at that?

Wynn is 3-400 more than Bellagio for similar sized rooms

It would be ~1000 for 4 nights @Bellagio, 1400 or so @Wynn

I guess it comes down to the scene you are looking for. If you want a bunch of gorgeous 18-24 year old blonde women running all over, it would be the Palms.

not true..bellagio actually has quite low limits for being one of the top tier casinos. There are always at least a few $10-$15 blackjack tables even during Saturday night.

I am not a big fan of their rooms. They're ok...nothing special, not worth the extra money in my opinion. I'm a big fan of Caesars..and for cheaper hotels, Flamingo.

Any reason why Caesars?

and I stayed at Bellagio twice, and visited a room in Venetian. I must say V is a tad better since it's all suite. However, since it's just you and your g/f, Bellagio will be just fine.

on the other hand, I heard horrible service at the Palazzo tower.

Venetian is all suite, really? Maybe that's why it's so goddamn expensive.

Try Circus Circus and get the cheap manor rooms in the back with the scary clown decor.

few reasons.

1. rooms are nice (at least the one I stayed in...though it was upgraded)
2. has a good poker room which has good mid priced tournaments ($100 buy-in)
3. central location (bellagio is the same)
4. lots of eye candy...check out at night near Pure nightclub

EDIT: I second KA btw...I enjoyed it very much. I saw the Cirque show in Orlando, FL - La Nouba, and KA was 100x better. I got tickets to watch Le Reve at the end of October...hope its pretty good

When I go to vegas I'm there to play so I don't pay much attention to the room nor am I in it for anything but sleeping.

Casesars - decent rooms, can't find a 5-10 dollar table to play ever
Bellagio - nice rooms, can find5-10 dollar tables, really nice sports/poker area...I prefer to play here.
Venician - really nice rooms, 25 dollar min tables, even craps, suck, won't ever do that again
Rio - sweet playing

A cab can get you anywhere on the strip. Overall the Bellagio is a nice place to stay and play.

THE Hotel @ Mandalay is on par with wynn/venetian/bellagio, the regular hotel probably just a bit below. The one big knock is how far away Mandalay is from everything else.

And cab rides are a few minutes wait. It doesn't matter where you are on "the strip", you can go anywhere you want for 10-15 bucks.

$10-$15/bucks 3 or 4 times a day adds up...may as well spend that money on a hotel that is more centrally located. waits for cabs at times can also get quite unreasonable
