There was a debate over at SD whether the rebate would be honored since Walmart is not on the participating retailer list. http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/MotorOil/Promotions/Store_Rebate_Mobil_1_Rules.aspx

I purchased 2 -5 qt jugs at Walmart through ShopDiscover for an additional 5% off, picked them up at the store, and mailed the receipt and rebate form in 3 weeks ago. http://www.autovaluestores.com/files/1414/0796/5148/mobil_oil_rebate_0814.pdf The UPC code is printed on the Walmart receipt.

Just checked my rebate status today here: http://mobil.rebateresearch.com/

"Your rebate in the amount of $ 24.00 was mailed on September 22, 2014.
Please allow 14 days for delivery. Thank you."

So the rebate is valid for purchases from Walmart.

Rebate good on purchases up to October 31, 2014.

Excellent. This deal was the subject of an especially hot thread at FW-half the posters claimed you could buy at Walmart, the others said no because Walmart wasn't specifically listed as an approved retailer.

Good also for 5 individual quart bottles (times 2, because it's limit 2 rebates per household), and good for Mobile dino-oil, if you're not using synthetic.
