Based on reviews and a perusal of several forums, I would probably pick up the Asus A8V Deluxe 939 board (rev 2) if I were buying a 939 board right now. It sounds like a stable board with plenty of features and modest overclocking abilities. I may actually order one tomorrow for my work machine, if I can verify rev 2. That may not be so easy.

For my own "enthusiast" interests, I would either pick up a 754 nForce3 250 board or wait for DFI's new A64 boards, either 754 or 939. And I may order an Epox Socket 754 nForce3 250 board tomorrow as well. I am done with my AOpen AK89 Max. My first board overclocked OK, but had intermittent problems overclocked or not. My second AK89 Max is very stable at stock but is pathetic for overclocking. The new DFI A64 board(s) sounds like what I want, but I am not one to make decisions on product reviews that come out before any retail boards are available. The retail reality doesn't always match the performance of hand picked or engineering samples with bios versions we'll never see. Both the MSI Neo2 and the rumored DFI boards aren't yet available.

Personally I am not sure I would buy an MSI board for my "enthusiast" interests. I know they keep getting good reviews, but from now on I will only buy boards from companies that support overclocking with features, bios updates, and active support. That would be DFI, Abit, Asus, or Epox from where I sit.

Good luck with your decision. I will make 2 A64 motherboard decisions myself here shortly.

Get the new MSI neo2 board, it will be out soon. From my own experience, the Abit AV8 is a rock solid board and an excellent overclocker at a pretty good price that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. This thing has lots of PSU issues and they aren't the usual problems with non quality supplies, my antec 550w doesn't even post but a compusa 400w is dead stable even overclocked.
