Mobo fried?

Okay, so if you read my last thread, i was having tons of problems with windows, and then finally my system wouldn't even get power at all. I have now bought a new power supply, and when i installed it, pressing the power simply yields one second of fan activity followed by NOTHING. The power led flickers for a second and that is it.

What do you guys think?

I've tried 2 different RAM sticks, to no avail. Reseated the graphics card, still nothing. None of the LED's on my motherboard are working, but the fact that the CPU fan does turn on for a second indicates there is some power transfer.

Is my mobo (EpoX 8k7a) fried? CPU? I'm thinking about buying new parts today, so please respond.

It sounds as though the mobo is shorting out somewhere in the case. Remove it from the case and set it up on desk or table, connect what you need outside of the case, hook it all up. When everything is ready, touch the two pins that would go to the front panel power switch with the tip of a screwdriver to start it up. If it starts, boots, etc, you need to look for a short or mobo to case contact that shouldn't be there. If it doesn't start, than the mobo is probably bad.
