Hey if one has the $100 coupon for office XP would that work in addition to the rest of this?
So say you go through the officemax deal and spend $189
would you be able to get $100 back from Microsoft for XP or do you need that UPC sent for the Iomega rebate?

My recommendation would be to check out the Evnision monitor at a B&M before buying, if you'd like to avoid the hassle of having to repack it and carry it back to a B&M for a return if you don't like it.

I just checked it out at CompUSA and I must say I was quite disappointed. The monitor can indeed go up to 1600x1200 but I found it to be nearly unusable even at 1280x1024. Everything looked blurry (esp text) and I couldn't stand looking at it for more than a few minutes. Going down to 1024x768 made the monitor look acceptable. However, it didn't look nearly as sharp as a $230 NEC 17" sitting next to it (and that same NEC could run 1280x1024 fine). And in the monitor display area (where they just have some screen saver video running on a whole bunch of monitors), the Envision paled in comparison to a $180 (after rebate) Viewsonic flat 17" (it looked blurry once again).

So if you plan on running at 1024x768 and really just want an average budget monitor, then the Envision should work for you. However, IMHO, if you might want to run at a higher resolution or don't want to skimp too much on the quality of an item you'll spend thousands of hours looking at, I'd say check out the Envision somewhere before you buy. . . .

(Obviously some people own this monitor and have more experience with it, but I thought I'd post my opinions on it since there don't seem to be too many opinions/reviews out there)

Just picked up 128mb of the PNY memory. The module can with Infineon memory chips with same markings as the Mushkin PC133 Rev3. Can't wait to try it out.

That memory is about the same price as crucial's memory (which was giving away free s&h, but I'm not sure if they still are...) Just make sure you're getting the best deal on the best memory..

OK Hawkeye (name is well suited), here's my post about Staples and not just the monitor, although I did use this in conjunction with the monitor. I also hope this is not a repost on this board, but I just called and had a free tv added to my account since I did not use the coupon on this deal. This makes the monitor an extremely hot deal (under $90 + free tv). Can't say it's a great tv, but free is great. Only cost the amount of tax on the item. They are shipping it by itself after I receive the monitor. Thank you Staples!

I got a coupon code from a friend for Staples B&M, but I don't have the actual postcard. Is it ok to tell the cashier the coupon code or do you need the actual postcard to get the discount?
