The new bios supports 137gb+ now. Just need drive G support.

I currently have a 200gig in mine, with 15gigs free.

Are you still able to play XBox Live? I am debating doing this, but I do plan on subscribing to XBL soon.

The new bios's support 137+ on the f drive also. and why wouldn't a bigger cpu help a game that really taxes the xbox. I'm sure at one point in a game the cpu is at 100% is windows coded for a certain proc speed and anything faster won't help it.....believe me.

and you can use a modded drive with live ust make sure your chip is off and the drive is locked( you won't be able to boot unless its locked anyway

The most current XBOX Bios will support up to 2 terabytes. Infact if you head over to xbox-scene.com there is a fella who fit(currently fitting) 4 hard drives into one stock xbox case. Well he had to make custom mounts. As for you guys thinking this was bogus, it probably was not. And 750 GB is not that much, considering HTPC guys are running terabyte fileservers. A modded fileserving xbox would serve the same purpose.

 

Who cares about the processor, it's the HDD Space that counts.

Just an addition to my above post from a quick google search of the readme in the 4979 Bios, the newest is the 4981 Bios:

We have also intergrated OzPaulb's fantastic LBA48 hack which we had to painstaiknigly convert from Assembly to C source. This is now embedded into our X2 source so you can use two versions of our bios.
One for LBA48 6 and one for LBA 48 6+7 (LBA48 6 is one large F partition - recommened for new HD installs, and LBA48 6+7 is for those who want to extend your current F drive to its larger size without losing any data). For those who dont know you were previousley limited to a 137GB drive - now you can have up to 2 TB (2199023255040 bytes) or 2000 Gb for the *ahem* uninformed.
