modding the DFI Lanparty nForce3 motherboard

hi,
just replaced the stock northbridge heatsink with a VANTEC Copper Heatsink fan..would like to know if the MOSFET's can be sinked too..if so any links to products, guides would be highly appreciated

hey, i was thinking of doing the same with the vantec but all i can find is the cooler part, the copper. looks like a perfect match. but i can't find the mounting hardware. did you just use screws, washers and plug it into the same fan connector?

how are your temps? my chip runs high 40's after gaming.

get it from newegg. comes with all the pins needed to attach to ur mobo

temps are low 40's max43deg C using the XP90 and a panaflo fan..sys temp is almost the same as my mabient temps

well, i had bought it from newegg but i guess i lost misplaced the screws/push pins. i'll look some more.

is it noisier than the stock cooler. my temps now are idle 40 load 48 so maybe its not worth it.

also, what mosfets are you looking to cool? i was looking at the board last night but i'm not sure where you're talking.

edit- looking at the newegg pic, they didn't supply the pins?

edit again-- i think i found the plastic pins. did you put a square of foam around the contact area like the stock cooler had?
