Playing with my 694X, WPCREDIT, MemEnabler, etc, I came to the conclusion that I'd like to physically modify the bios file to make all the edit, drivers, etc unneeded.
Using CBROM, I was able to extract all of the BIOS modules except "Sytem BIOS", and I used LHA 2.55 to get it extracted.
The problem is that I can't seem to locate the data blocks that have the register infromation referred to by the 694X chipset datasheet. It's gotta be there somewhere right?
I thought it would be a matter of simply searching the UNCOMPRESSED modules, editing the appropriate hex code, reinserting/updating the module(s) and flashing the new bios. It doesn't appear so.
Can anyone offer me a clue, hint, link, tip of 1)how to locate the register info I'm looking for, and 2)if there is any "secret decoder ring" stuff involved of which I am not aware.
I'd really like to make these hacks to the BIOS proper, as they work perfectly with my board...
Thanks,
